Swakopmund zit vol verrassingen! Tijdens deze stadstour dwaalt u door straten bezaaid met gebouwen in koloniale stijl, geniet u van een panoramisch uitzicht op de oceaan vanaf de beroemde steiger en proeft u de rijke cultuur van de stad. Het is een perfecte manier om de hoogtepunten te zien en onderweg te genieten van een prachtig uitzicht! Deze tour brengt je ook langs de Flamingo's en Roze Zoutmeren in Walvisbaai. Er zal een beetje tijd winkelen.

Hohenzollernhaus is een iconisch historisch monument in het hart van Swakopmund, Namibië. Dit prachtige gebouw, dat een mix van Duitse koloniale architectuur en lokale invloeden laat zien, is een must-visit voor elke geschiedenisliefhebber of reiziger die het unieke culturele erfgoed van de regio wil begrijpen. Oorspronkelijk gebouwd in de late 19e eeuw, is Hohenzollernhaus getuige geweest van de evolutie van Swakopmund van een bruisende havenstad naar een levendige toeristische bestemming. Het ingewikkelde ontwerp en de charmante gevels maken het een populaire plek voor fotografie, waardoor bezoekers de essentie van deze kuststad kunnen vastleggen.
De Swakopmund Jetty is een historisch, 245 meter lang houten bouwwerk dat zich uitstrekt tot in de Atlantische Oceaan en een prachtig uitzicht biedt op de zee en de stad. Het is een populaire plek voor vissers, fotografen en mensen die een mooie wandeling willen maken
Het historische Woermannhaus is met zijn gevel in Duitse stijl en toren in groen en goud een Swakopmund-icoon dat tot de oudste gebouwen van de stad behoort. Vandaag de dag heeft dat nationale herkenningspunt een openbare bibliotheek en kunstcentrum
Hier ziet u honderden roze flamingo's waden in het ondiepe water, hun levendige kleuren steken af tegen de blauwe lagune. Het schilderachtige wad trekt ook andere vogelsoorten aan zoals pelikanen en aalscholvers.
We passeren Dune 7 vlakbij Walvis Bay. Helaas beklimmen we de duin niet we hebben alleen tijd om deze te bekijken. We gaan dan naar de flamingo's en de roze zoutmeren

We ontmoeten u bij ons Desert Dunes and Dust Tours Gazebo bij de ingang van de haven op een cruiseliner, we staan in de haven met naamborden. Gelieve nota te nemen van alle cruise liner passagiers. We staan in de haven na de eerste poort met een Gazebo waar ons logo op staat. Let op: uw Gids zal ook staan met een naambord. Let op alle Cruise Liner passagiers, uw tour Pick-up tijd begint een UUR nadat u bent afgemeerd. HOE LAAT JE OOK AANLEGT. De tour vertrekt uiterlijk anderhalf uur na de Pick tijd. Laatkomers worden beschouwd als een no show.

A personal tour with another couple and the guide. Interesting journey to the town on excellent roads through dunes area. The town has some fascinating old buildings and also a surprising number of luxury shops. On the way back we visited the salt pans and saw flamingos in the distance and a couple of pelicans by the side of the road. The guide was very informative and personable.

Riaan our tour guide was amazing- friendly, insightful and generous with his humour and attention. He made the tour our highlight of visiting Namibia. Swakopmund is an interesting place, with German architecture and culture overlaid with modern Namibian life. The dunes, flamingoes and beautiful water setting were also great to see. There are few places like it in the world and it is well worth a visit. Can highly recommend this tour!

Exceptional tour Ludwig was a great guide. His English was quite good explained a lot of things as we drove, was able to make personalized stops. Return to the ship at the time specified if we’re here on another cruise, we would gladly take the same tour.

This was a very good experience if you want to learn about Namibia and get a brief overview of what is around Walvis Bay. The pick up at the cruise terminal was a little muddled as the guide we had been told to look out for wasn't the one we went with. We started off with another guide, changed and were then told we were doing a different tour. However, on a further check, this was rectified and we were really happy with the tour. Vincent is a wonderful young man who is passionate about his hometown and is a great ambassador for Namibia. We had a fabulous few hours and were very fortunate with our travelling companions.
