Five Art Studio, gelegen in het culturele hart van Keliki, nodigt je uit om de rijke traditie van Indonesische batik te ontdekken via onze Batik Painting Class. Deze praktische ervaring biedt een diepe duik in een van de meest gekoesterde kunstvormen van Indonesië, waar je de eeuwenoude technieken van wax-resist-verven leert. Onder begeleiding van bekwame lokale kunstenaars maak je je batikkunstwerk, waarbij je inzicht krijgt in de culturele betekenis en geschiedenis achter elk ontwerp. Of je nu een kunstliefhebber bent of gewoon nieuwsgierig bent naar de Indonesische cultuur, deze les biedt een betekenisvolle verbinding met het erfgoed van Indonesië.

We went there as a part of our honeymoon and we enjoyed every minute. Our host were knowledgeable and patient as they taught us the process. They made us feel very special at every moment. Got take home out artwork and we even went back to buy additional piece. Very lovely experience!

Five Arts Studio batik class is my favourite Ubud memory. The teachers were helpful and patient with batik beginners! We have a lovely souvenir from our travels.

Awesome experience. Everyone was super helpful and patient. There was also the option to take it with us or to have it delivered locally once they washed and dried it. We received it to our accommodations just a few hours later! So grateful!
It was an amazing and frankly, therapeutic experience. The place is a quaint homestead with paddy fields and hens clucking. It was already such a peaceful atmosphere. First we are explained about the process. We can choose from either a presketched pattern or if you're skilled, your own drawing, and then we trace it on to cloth. Next step is where they teach us to apply molten beeswax using a tjanting brush. Finally comes the coloring. Each step is painstakingly explained and the trainers there were sooo helpful and attentive and encouraging. Lots of tips and tricks of techniques were explained. There was beautiful music playing and a friendly dog Rosie frolicking about. All in all it was a really healing experience. They offered to dry and process our finished pieces and drop them off at our hotel the next day.
Omg! Best experience. Even if you have no experience in batik, it is relaxing and therapeutic. I highly recommend. Be sure to buy art made from children, it’s beautiful and impressive. I loved it here. Peaceful. Take a scooter from ubud-beautiful countryside.
