Krijg de kans om onze prachtige oude inheemse Kauri-bossen, prachtige witte zandstranden en nog veel meer te zien. Ervaar de opwindende activiteiten en weelderige landschappen die Coromandel te bieden heeft, waaronder een bezoek aan de iconische Cathedral Cove en het wereldberoemde Hot Water Beach, voor een natuurlijk spa-strand.

We halen reizigers op van de meeste locaties op de CBD-locatie in Auckland. Als uw ophaallocatie niet beschikbaar is op de lijst, aarzel dan niet om contact met ons op te nemen en we zullen ons uiterste best doen om aan uw verzoek te voldoen.
De Bombay Hills zijn een reeks heuvels ten zuiden van Auckland, Nieuw-Zeeland. Hoewel ze slechts een kleine en ogenschijnlijk onbeduidende reeks heuvels zijn, liggen ze aan de zuidelijke grens van de regio Auckland en dienen ze als een scheiding tussen Auckland en de Waikato-regio. direct vernoemd naar het schip Bombay, Het schip zelf is vernoemd naar de Indiase stad Bombay (nu Mumbai). We stoppen om op eigen kosten heerlijke koffie te halen en een comfortabele pauze voordat we onze reis voortzetten naar de regio van het Coromandel-schiereiland.
Omarm een zeldzame kans om Cathedral Cove te zien, een adembenemende natuurlijke rotsformatie beroemd gemaakt door te verschijnen in The Chronicles of Narnia, Prince Caspian film! Vanaf het noordelijke uiteinde van het strand leidt een wandelpad langs de klif en daalt dan af naar de baai. Hier gaat een gigantische grot met bogen door een witte rots landtong om twee afgelegen baaien te verbinden. Geniet van Cathedral Cove om te verkennen, fotograferen, zwemmen en gewoon genieten van deze bijzondere plek. Loop onder de uitgestrekte baai door, zodat je de kans krijgt om die perfecte foto te maken!
Diep in de aarde stroomt een natuurlijke bron onder Hot Water Beach, die opborrelt om door het zand te komen in de vorm van natuurlijk verwarmd mineraalwater. Aan de zuidkant van het strand is het mogelijk om je eigen warme poel in het zand te graven. Ontspannen in uw eigen spa-zwembad meters van de Stille Oceaan is een zeer uniek gevoel!
Na een opwindende, leuke avontuurlijke ervaring in Coromandel, is het nu tijd om terug te gaan naar Auckland om je avond af te sluiten en je terug te brengen naar je hotel in Auckland.

- Er zijn geen afval- en toiletfaciliteiten in Cathedral Cove, dus zorg ervoor dat u al uw afval meeneemt.
- Onze mooie wandelingen zijn kort en optioneel. Laat het onze gids bij het inchecken weten als u zich zorgen maakt over uw conditie.
- De wegen in Coromandel Peninsula zijn erg winderig, bereid je voor op eventuele reisziekte.
- Vanwege bochtige wegen is deze tour niet geschikt voor gezinnen met baby's en jonge kinderen. Wij raden u aan om onze Coromandel Peninsula Discovery Experience te boeken.
- Hot Water Beach is het best toegankelijk bij laag water, maar kan worden genoten in alle behalve ruwe en gevaarlijke omstandigheden.
- Sta genoeg tijd toe om de 45 minuten durende wandeling per enkele reis bij de baai van de kathedraal te doen en tijd te hebben om te zwemmen en foto's te maken.
- Deze tour wordt niet aanbevolen voor mensen met beperkte mobiliteit of fitness.
- Je moet trappen kunnen beklimmen en afdalen en op onverhard of oneffen terrein kunnen lopen.
- Het Cathedral Cove wandelpad is goed gevormd maar heeft steile stukken en treden. Het heeft een matige tot goede conditie en stevig schoeisel nodig. Het kan erg warm zijn in de zomer en er is geen stromend water, dus neem voldoende water en zonbescherming mee.

Great day with Karthik in a small group tour— very comfortable throughout, starting with the spacious Sprinter van for the 5 of us. Everything was well organized/ curated/ tailored— including knowing when to visit hot water beach and where to find the best place. He was super informative and his hospitable personality made the entire trip a pleasure. Both beaches were well worth seeing, and while trip to get there wasn’t super short, it was very manageable with a couple of food stops where the food was quite good- very fresh and tasty. Hike down to Cathedral Cove isn’t short but great when you get there… we ended up taking a water taxi on way back instead (nice relief after a long day and that hike)!

We had a fantastic day with Karthik as our tour guide to Cathedral Cove and Hot Beach! The day began with a drive to and through the Coromandel Peninsula to reach the path to Cathedral Cove with a comfort stop for food and coffee. The day was clear and sunny and Karthik’s commentary during our drive helped us understand the geology and history of New Zealand. The walk to Cathedral cove took roughly 30-40 minutes with sections of uphill but all on a paved pathway. It was a light to moderate hike through the forest to reach a stunning beach. The arch at Cathedral cove is a must see and must photograph spot! The beach and swimming area is clear ocean water and soft sand. I highly recommend taking the water taxi back instead of hiking back simply because the hike will be mostly uphill going back and the water taxi allows for more time on the beach followed by views of the cove from the water. Karthik made our whole day easy, providing guidance and snacks and sharing his knowledge of the area. After water taxi drop off and Karthik’s pick up from Hahei Beach, we went to a tucked away lunch spot called Hot Waves, where the food was not only delicious but also artistically prepared. Karthik reserved a table outside in the shade where we enjoyed a laid back lunch with the company of Ron the cat. Then it was on to our second stop at Hot Beach! The tide was still too high to fully dig a hole, but Karthik knew exactly where to go on the beach to feel the hot water by shifting our feet into the sand until it was warm warm warm and then HOT! Such a cool experience! We had a leisurely ride back to Auckland with a stop to photograph the Twin Kauri trees! This was one of my favorite days in New Zealand! Book it!

The tour was lovely! Even with an early start, it was a great way to spend a day on vacation. The hot water beach and the cathedral cove were both amazing, just prepare for the treck to the Cove (about 20 minutes on a trail that changes to some steep inclines throughout). The best part was our tour guide/ driver Mary, who was very personable and was lovely to chat with as we travelled to and from Auckland.
