Government House domineert het westelijke uiteinde van Town Plaza, een unieke Spaanse landgebruikscomponent in een National Historic Landmark District. Langs kusten zouden pleinen aan de waterkant beginnen - om te zien en om gezien te worden. Sinds 1598 staat op deze plek een regeringsgebouw met uitzicht op de havenlanding, met administratieve hoofdkwartieren en residenties van koloniale gouverneurs benoemd door de kronen van Spanje, dan Groot-Brittannië en dan weer Spanje. Nadat Spanje Florida in 1821 aan de Verenigde Staten had afgestaan, deed dit huidige regeringsgebouw dienst als gerechtsgebouw en korte tijd als hoofdstad van het nieuwe territorium van Florida.

Our guide, Nina, was excellent. She was knowledgeable and engaging. She gave us other restaurants to try in the area. She was terrific! I enjoyed the restaurants, but wasn't truly impressed with the wine or food, except for our first restaurant, 17 King. The wine ond beef tips were excellent. Nonna's was good, but our waiter was kind of rude to Nina, saying he wasnt told we were coming. Our rigatoni bolognese was good, but I wouldnt pay $30 for it (per the menu). The wine tasting we had was okay, charcuterie board a bit skimpy for 6-7 people. Wines were just okay. Mimi's Crepes were good. Went on a different tour a year ago, and was truly impressed with all the places chosen. So if Nina guides other tours, I'd go, but the selections didnt impress me ir show what St Augustine offers.

Great fun! We were paired with another couple and our tour guide Nina. She was very informative, fun, and offered suggestions on local eateries that interested us. She also knew St Augustine history and architecture! The food and wine pairings at the restaurants we visited were excellent. I had never heard of Mead - alcohol made from honey. We stopped at a place for tastings and we ended up purchasing a bottle that we loved. A great tour for anyone interested in experiencing multiple restaurants, many different wines, and St Augustine.

went on a 3 hour walking tour that included food and drinks....our first time and it was fun and Nina was very informative about the area and history.....not our first time to St. Augustine but last trip was many years ago when kids were younger

We came to St. Augustine to celebrate our sister’s birthday and enjoy exploring this beautiful city. This tour enabled us to do just that. Ira did a wonderful job taking us to different local wine tastings and eateries where we experienced new wines and had fabulous appetizers, authentic pasta, and dessert.
