Dit gebouw was een paleis, een fort, de residentie van Isabella I van Castilië en Fernando II van Aragón en een gevangenis. Het is uitgeroepen tot cultureel erfgoed in 1931 en staat op de werelderfgoedlijst van UNESCO sinds 1994. Het architectonische ensemble heeft een sober karakter van de buitenkant en heeft een geweldig interieur, prachtige tuinen en binnenplaatsen met een mudéjar-inspiratie.
Het Monument voor Geliefden in Córdoba vertegenwoordigt het blijvende liefdesverhaal van Ibn Zaydun en Wallada bint al-Mustakfi, prominente figuren uit de Andalusische geschiedenis. Met een standbeeld met twee handen is het een boeiende culturele plek en een hoogtepunt van onze tour.

De synagoge van Córdoba, gebouwd in 1315, is een historisch monument in de Joodse wijk van Córdoba, Spanje. Het is een van de best bewaarde middeleeuwse synagogen in Spanje, met prachtige decoraties in Mudejar-stijl. Ondanks de kleine omvang is de synagoge vanwege haar culturele en historische betekenis een must-visit attractie in Córdoba. We zullen de synagoge bezoeken waar mogelijk. Soms vormen zich lange rijen op de smalle straat die naar de synagoge leidt, wat aanzienlijke vertragingen veroorzaakt. De synagoge is de hele dag gesloten op maandag en in de middag op zon- en feestdagen. Als we niet in staat zijn om binnen te bezoeken, wat meestal ongeveer 5 minuten duurt, zullen we het monument van buitenaf uitleggen. De synagoge van Córdoba is een zeer klein gebouw met beperkte binnenruimte.
De kapel van San Bartolomé in Córdoba, Spanje, is een historische kapel die bekend staat om zijn prachtige Mudejar-architectuur. Het dateert uit de 14e eeuw, beschikt over ingewikkelde details en ligt in het hart van de oude wijk van de stad, waardoor bezoekers geïnteresseerd zijn in het verkennen van het rijke religieuze en architectonische erfgoed van Córdoba.
De gemeentelijke souk in Córdoba, gevestigd in een 16e-eeuws herenhuis dat voorheen eigendom was van de familie Armenta, biedt lokale ambachten zoals Cordoban-leer, filigraan zilverwerk en keramiek. Af en toe draagt een lokale gitarist bij aan de sfeer, waardoor de culturele ervaring van deze historische marktplaats in de oude binnenstad van Córdoba wordt versterkt.
Mohamed Al-Gafequi, een Andalusische arts geboren in Córdoba in 1126, stond bekend om zijn expertise in de oogheelkunde tijdens de middeleeuwen. The ruins are very interesting and still surprisingly intact in much of the site. Our guide Pilar was very knowledgeable about the history of the site and specific aspects of it.

This tour was great and really informative. We really learned a lot about the history of the Mezquita and how it has transformed over time across the different eras. Unlike some other tours I did in Spain, this one was worth the money.

Absolutely superb experience, marvellous sites , incredible history. A must do if your in Cordoba, Maria was my guide for the Alcazar which was incredible, she was knowledgeable and such a great guide. The second part of my tour was with Paki for the Mesquit of Cordoba, the Mosque and she was equally great. Very knowledgeable and her explanation of the history was brilliant. Both spoke English well and woukd definitely recommend . The communication on the day of the tour from them was excellent
