Coral Gardens: een levendige onderwateroase Ontdek de betoverende Coral Gardens, een zeldzaam en adembenemend maritiem ecosysteem vlak voor de kust van Caye Caulker, ten zuiden van Ambergris Caye. Hier kunt u indrukwekkende massa's grote Elk Horn-koralen zien die op restanten van oudere koralen zijn gestapeld, waardoor een bloeiend onderwaterlandschap ontstaat. Het levendige landschap omvat prachtige bruine en paarse zeewaaiers, feloranje hertshoorn- en vingerkoralen, evenals de opvallende gele buisspons. Deze gevarieerde koraalhabitat trekt een rijke verscheidenheid aan zeeleven aan, waardoor het een must-visitbestemming is voor zowel snorkelaars als duikers. Met dieptes variërend van 8 tot 12 voet biedt Coral Gardens een toegankelijk en onvergetelijk avontuur onder de golven.

Geniet van een mooie, koele boottocht van 35 minuten vanuit de haven van Belize terwijl je langs de mangrove-eilanden vaart naar het eiland Caye Caulker, het op een na grootste eiland van Belize met een adembenemend uitzicht op het barrièrerif. Waar een stop van 15 minuten wordt gemaakt om gebruik te maken van het toilet en om u om te kleden. Daarna maak je een boottocht van 5 minuten voor Caye Caulker naar het barrièrerif (het op een na grootste rif ter wereld). 45 minuten snorkelen vindt plaats in de Coral Garden, waar u het prachtige koraalrif en vissen kunt zien, en vervolgens 30 minuten snorkelen met Nurse Sharks en Sting Rays. Nadat het snorkelen is voltooid, trakteert de gids aan boord je op een hapje en een geweldige Rum Punch terwijl je terugkeert naar het eiland Caye, waar je een strandpauze zult hebben en waar je ook een maaltijd kunt krijgen en terug naar binnen gaat naar Belize City nadat u klaar bent, waar u weer wordt afgezet bij de haven.

3rd time taking this tour. We love it! Guides and captain very knowledgeable and helpful! Matbe too many people on the boat, but we had a blast!
What an absolutely unforgettable experience! From start to finish, the entire staff went above and beyond to make sure our family had the best possible day on the reef. Traveling with my son can sometimes require a little extra attention, and the crew showed incredible kindness, patience, and genuine care. They made sure he was comfortable and helped us every step of the way, allowing me to fully enjoy the experience without feeling overwhelmed. Because of their thoughtfulness and attention to detail, I was able to snorkel the breathtaking coral reef, swim alongside nurse sharks and stingrays, and take in the beauty of the Mesoamerican Reef—something I’ll never forget. The staff’s professionalism, knowledge, and warm personalities made us feel safe, welcomed, and cared for throughout the entire tour. It’s rare to find a team that truly treats every guest like family, but that’s exactly what they did. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for making this such a special memory for us. Your exceptional service and genuine compassion did not go unnoticed. I would recommend this tour to anyone visiting Belize without hesitation!
This experience was awesome. We are very novice snorklers but there were experienced snorklers on the excursion with us and we all had a wonderful time. The captain and guides we had were awesome! We had rum punch and fresh pineapple after snorkeling. We also went to a restaurant on the beach which was delicious and affordable. I would 10/10 recommend booking this excursion. Also swimming with the sharks and stingrays was such an amazing experience!
This was our favorite stop on our cruise. We loved the island we stopped at for lunch. The snorkeling on the reef was amazing. If we had more time we would have done it for much longer. We weren’t huge fans of the sharks and rays part. It was a little chaotic, mostly because there were kids in the tour group and they were wild while the sharks and rays were swimming around. The tour company was great though. Very nice, pointed out things while snorkeling that we would have missed on our own.
Fun excursion that takes up most of the day. Hang out with sharks, snorkel to see coral & native fish, and hand feed juvenile tarpon. The crew with splash wave were wonderful.

Absolutely amazing. The boat ride was fun, the reef was beautiful, and the shark ray alley was quite the experience.
The excursion was amazing. The crew were so kind, accommodating, and we felt safe. I remember I was feeling the heat of the sun and Jamal, lent me his hat to wear for the ride. When we were snorkelling, Jamal, pointed out to us the unique sea animals living in the corals. Seeing the nurse sharks and stingrays were amazing but I do wish we had more time to experience that in the excursion. It felt quick compared to snorkelling in coral garden. Although, it was made up for when they surprised us with a quick Tarpon feeding; which wasn’t part of the original excursion. So fun. I highly recommend this excursion.

The good: Coral Gardens + Shark & Stingray Alley snorkeling is epic. The adrenaline of being surrounded by nurse sharks and rays, the gorgeous reef, and a delicious lunch made for an amazing day on the water. The bad: Everything before we got on the boat. We booked 3 days prior and got a pickup time. Day before, they changed it via text. No problem. We arrived 15 min early. Then waited. And waited. 30 min late, no show. 45 min, no show. Texts to the organizer went unanswered. After 1 hour 45 minutes, hotel staff helped us call a different number. That person had no clue we were supposed to be picked up, but sent a car. After the trip, we were also left to find our own way back despite the booking including return transport. Great tour, chaotic logistics. The crew on the water were pros. The office needs to get it together. I would recomand the activity however I would look for another provider with a better customer service.
