Akagera game drive, gecombineerd met Ihema Lake Boat Ride. We vertrekken vroeg uit Kigali en rijden naar schatting 3,5 uur om Akagera National Park te bereiken. Met onze lokale en vriendelijke gids is het vervoer verzekerd met een 4x4 Toyota Rav4-auto met WIFI aan boord om u verbonden te houden met uw dierbaren en de wereld (***Sommige plekken in het park hebben geen connectiviteit***). De gamedrive wordt gekruid met de adembenemende Ihema-boottocht van een uur. Breng de hele dag door het park door om 's avonds terug te vertrekken en Kigali te bereiken. Akagera National Park heeft een diversiteit aan dieren in het wild, waaronder buffels, olifanten, giraffen, zebra's, impala's en vele anderen. Na een lange tijd uitgestorven te zijn, zijn de zwarte neushoorns en leeuwen onlangs weer uitgezet, hoewel hun waarneming niet altijd gegarandeerd is vanwege hun kleine aantal en het verbergende karakter van de zwarte neushoorn. Geniet van de gamedrive terwijl je de natuurlijke habitat van verschillende dieren en vogels bekijkt en geniet van het uitzicht op verschillende meren en landschappen.

Halverwege: tussenstop door Imigongo Art Center en café voor het strekken van de benen, het bekijken van Imigongo-kunst, met behulp van de toiletten. U kunt er ook voor kiezen om daar een kopje koffie of uw afhaalmaaltijd te kopen.
1. Geen Covid-test vereist 2. Koop toegangsbewijzen: registratie en vertrek voor de hele dag in Akagera National Park. 3. Gamedrive door het park inclusief een uur durende boottocht op het Ihema-meer. 4. Verwacht om Akagera tussen 14.00 en 15.30 uur te verlaten voor vertrek naar Kigali. Bereik Kigali City tussen 18.30 en 20.00 uur en vertrek naar de respectieve plaatsen.
Boottocht van een uur op het Ihema-meer. Ga de hele dag door met een gamedrive.

I did a day trip and it was superb. Jean Paul made sure I saw everything I wanted to see and also close up. It was all well organised from pick up/drop off to lunch. Booking the tour was easy and quick - you can pay by card online. It is a long day so bear that in mind.

Everything about this safari was great. Before the safari even began, Olivier was very helpful and answered all of my questions very quickly. The morning of the safari, our guide Jean-Paul, arrived right on time and was very kind. Amazing service throughout. We always had plenty of cold water to drink. He answered any questions we had and he pointed out animals we would have never seen on our own. He made sure we were safe the entire time. Thank you for the unforgettable experience!

The Vehicle was great, driver was over and above fantastic. The drive was superb and got to see Hippos, Crocs, Zebra, Giraffes, Rhino, lots of birds and more.... Missed the elephants, lions, I guess they were a bit busy that day :)

I had a lovely time with Bosco and learnt a lot from him! He was so good and so quick at spotting the animals, and tries his best to locate your favourite/most anticipated wildlife. The Akagera national park focuses on conservation of wildlife and sustainability with the communities living around it. I highly recommend visiting with Countryside tours.

Our group of 23 individuals participated in the 1-day Boat Ride and Game Drive at Akagera National Park. Olivier Kanyabikali at Countryside Tours made this trip such a wonderful experience in every way. His communication was top notch. He and his team picked up our large group from our hotel. Each tour driver was very accommodating, welcoming, knowledgeable, kind and professional. We had the time of our lives! The Safari exceeded my expectations in every way. Akagera is beautiful! We saw hippos, white and black rhinos, giraffes, zebras, elephants, baboons, buffalos, Nile crocodiles, warthogs, impalas and many other antelopes. We also saw many different bird species including giant kingfishers, grey crowned cranes, African fish eagles, spoonbills and many other rare birds. They worked together as a team to ensure we saw as many animals as possible. I would 100% recommend Countryside Tours for this tour.

I took this trip towards the end of my visit to Uganda and Rwanda. It proved to be a great way of book ending my time in East Africa. Akagera is a precious gem on the Rwanda / Tanzania border. I was lucky enough to see elephant, lion (just about), hippos, giraffes up close, cape buffalo, baboon, African fish eagle, zebra and Nile crocodiles. Seeing all of this is not guaranteed of course but my guide Ben was very informative and knew how to try different routes to give the best chance. I met other tourers along the way and the boat safari was a highlight among many highlights. Innocent the 'skipper' displayed a great passion for conservation. With 8 billion of us, we need more spaces in the world like Akagera. I would definitely recommend Countryside Tours, Like I said Ben the driver was informed and helpful and Oliver has been clear and frequent in communicating back and forth with any queries I had. First time in Kigali and first time at Akagera National Park. It was amazing! Our tour guide Ben was the best tour guide we could ask for. He was very accommodating, welcoming, and knowledgeable.
