Kookles met Yassine & Mama

One of the most memorable experiences of our trip to Morocco! My son always surprise me with fun and unique tours when we travel. I’ve done cooking tours in Japan, Poland, and Albania, but this experience with Chef Yassine was truly something special. We started at the local market, where my sons got to help choose the ingredients for our traditional Moroccan meal. From there, we went to a beautiful, spacious kitchen and learned everything from cleaning and cutting to cooking and using all the amazing Moroccan spices. Chef Yassine love for cooking really shines through. The food was delicious, but what made this experience so special was how much fun we had and how genuinely he wanted us to enjoy ourselves. We learned so much and left inspired to bring some of those flavors and comfort foods home with us. We even made sure to get some of the chef’s secret spice blend before leaving Morocco! I highly recommend this experience—even if you don’t like to cook. It’s so much more than a cooking class. It’s a fun, delicious, and unforgettable cultural experience that our family will always remember.

It was a magnificent experience rich in discovery and flavors. Yassine welcomed us and took the time to explain everything to us from A to Z. The class was fun, informative, and friendly. My friends and I had an excellent time discovering and tasting. I highly recommend this experience.

An exceptional experience! Yacine is incredibly welcoming, smiling, passionate, and very educational. He really takes the time to explain each step and to share his knowledge and his love of Moroccan cuisine. A true moment of sharing in a warm and friendly atmosphere. The dishes were delicious and authentic. I recommend it with my eyes closed, an experience not to be missed in Marrakech!

A delightful time centered on Moroccan cuisine with Yacine, who is so lovely and attentive to us; we shared a nice moment over tea where we discussed spices, and then over the cooking. We laughed, we learned, and we enjoyed ourselves while eating at the table. It is an activity that brings people together; I recommend it 100%, a big thank you to Yacine, who has a heart of gold. Yassine is a wonderful host. We had a bit of a problem finding the meeting place but he rearranged for the next day so we didn't miss out. We chose vegetables and fruit for the meal first so that everyone can have what suits them. After mint tea and a talk about spices we prepared and cooked tagines, salad and fruit. We all sat down to dinner together. It was a lovely homely experience. Thoroughly recommended.

Yassine is very approachable. He loves his craft and will explain and demonstrate for even a beginner. It’s more than chopping vegetables. You learn about the culture, interact with Yassine, share some tea and in the end enjoy a meal that you helped to prepare. It’s more personal and less commercial than some other classes I’ve been to.

Yassine was incredibly good. We cooked chicken tagine with fruit salad and tomatoe salad. Tasted way better than what I had earlier in my riad. He made me feel welcomed and took me through the whole process. I will definitely recommend. This was a 10/10 experince for me for sure !

This was a great cooking class! We each got to chop vegetables and assemble a tagine. We did get real hands-on experience. It was also nice being out in a real neighborhood where people actually live, rather than in the tourist-focused medina. Note to others who take a taxi from the medina: I couldn't talk our taxi driver down from 150 dirhams, which I knew was overpriced. Yassine said it should have been 50 dirhams. Talk your taxi driver down to 50 dirhams!

My daughter and I very much enjoyed cooking tagine with Yassine and his sister at their kitchen. The spice combination they use was new for us and gave the tagine a fantastic flavor. We also enjoyed spending time with Yassine and Maryam who were hospitable and fun to be with. I would recommend this as a way to better know the Moroccan culture and people while having fun cooking and eating a delicious meal.
