Meer dan een wandeling - een authentieke ervaring op het eiland Flores Met D.JuliaTours, elke reis is ontworpen om intiem, boeiend en onvergetelijk te zijn. In tegenstelling tot traditionele tours is ons voorstel om het wat rustiger aan te doen en je onder te dompelen in de ziel van Flores met een lokale gids die verhalen, geheimen en de ware essentie van het eiland deelt. Flexibele en persoonlijke routes: Vermijd de drukte en ontdek weinig bekende landschappen met tijd om elk detail te waarderen. Stops voor zwemmen in watervallen en contemplatie: We lassen momenten in om te genieten van het kristalheldere water, stille uitzichtpunten en plaatsen waar de tijd lijkt stil te staan. Reisroute
Nadat je op de officiële parkeerplaats hebt geparkeerd, word je naar het begin van de route naar Poço Ribeira do Ferreiro geleid. Als je het belangrijkste uitkijkpunt bereikt, kun je tientallen watervallen bewonderen die langs de groene heuvels naar beneden stromen. Er is een stop om na te denken, te rusten en foto's te nemen, voordat we terugkeren langs dezelfde route.
Na aankomst op de parkeerplaats in Fajã Grande brengt onze gids je naar de ingang van het pad dat naar de Poço do Bacalhau waterval leidt. Als je aankomt, zie je een indrukwekkende waterval van ongeveer 90 meter hoog, met aan de voet een poel van kristalhelder water. Er is een stop van maximaal een uur om van het landschap te genieten, uit te rusten en, als je wilt, een verfrissende duik te nemen, voordat je terugkeert naar het startpunt.
Na aankomst op de parkeerplaats naast de attractie begeleidt onze gids je op een korte wandeling naar het uitkijkpunt Rocha dos Bordões. Vanaf het uitkijkpunt kun je deze indrukwekkende rotsformatie bekijken, uniek op de Azoren, met zijn immense verticale kolommen die op orgelpijpen lijken. We stoppen ongeveer 10 minuten om te observeren, foto's te nemen en te genieten van het omringende landschap voordat we terugkeren.
Na het parkeren bij de hoofdingang brengt onze gids je naar de Miradouro da Lagoa Negra. Op het uitkijkpunt kun je de diepe donkere kleur van het water aanschouwen, omgeven door groene hellingen en een sfeer van rust. We stoppen ongeveer 15 minuten om na te denken, foto's te nemen en van de natuur te genieten, voordat we terugkeren naar het startpunt.
Na aankomst op de toegangsparkeerplaats begeleidt onze gids je naar de uitkijkpunten Caldeira Funda en Caldeira Rasa. Vanaf het uitkijkpunt kun je de Caldeira Funda bewonderen, met zijn diepwaterlagune en dichte begroeiing rondom, en iets verderop de Caldeira Rasa, kleiner en ondieper, maar net zo betoverend. We stoppen ongeveer 15 minuten om te observeren, foto's te nemen en de natuur te bekijken voordat we terugkeren.
Na het parkeren in de toegangszone neemt onze gids je mee naar het uitkijkpunt Lagoa da Lomba. Vanaf het uitkijkpunt kun je genieten van het serene water van de lagune, omringd door weelderige vegetatie en glooiende bergen. We maken een stop om na te denken, foto's te maken en te genieten van het vredige landschap voordat we terugkeren.
Na het parkeren bij de hoofdingang begeleidt onze gids je op een korte wandeling naar de vuurtoren van Albarnaz. Daar kun je genieten van een panoramisch uitzicht op de oceaan en de naburige eilanden. Er is een stop voor contemplatie, foto's en vrije tijd om de omgeving te verkennen voordat we terugkeren.

Ophaallocaties en -tijden
Voor je gemak bieden we een haal- en brengservice rechtstreeks van het hotel of de accommodatie waar je verblijft. Als je in Santa Cruz das Flores verblijft, vragen we je alleen om de naam van het hotel door te geven wanneer je reserveert. Als je buiten Santa Cruz verblijft, geef dan de naam van de accommodatie (indien van toepassing) en het volledige adres zodat we het vervoer nauwkeurig en punctueel kunnen organiseren. Wij streven ernaar om je vanaf het eerste moment van je reis een vredige ervaring te bezorgen.

It was the best choice to take this tour, a complete tour, visiting the beautiful spots on Flores island. The initial tour was with Renata, but due to the heavy rain for half of the day some spots weren't visible. Due to their availability we got the opportunity the next day to see the missing points with Helder, Renata's husband and therefore we've managed to see the whole island. On both days the tour started with the direct pick-up, continued over the many photo stops and a short trail. On the first day we had a great lunch, trying local food, delicious. Both Renata and Helder are very responsible and safe drivers, sharing with us many information about the island, they are cool people and was nice to have them as guides. We really appreciated their availability to see the missing view points on the second day and to drive us to the airport. I would 100% recommend Dona Julia Tours to anyone visiting Flores.

Complete tour by van of Flores. If you have limited time, this is perfect to see the highlights in one day. It's mostly sitting in the van, less active tour.

Excellent way to see all points of interest on the island. We were never rushed and spent as long as wanted at stops. Also able to take some walking breaks.

Our tour of Flores was led by Hinata, who was an excellent guide. She owns and operates the company with her husband, Helder, who we also met at one of the tour stops. Hinata showed us all over the island, taking us to multiple viewpoints and even a couple of short hikes. The weather wasn't very good to start the day, but that didn't deter her; she simply adjusted the schedule to ensure we could still see everything once the weather cleared up. I would 100% recommend Dona Julia Tours to anyone visiting Flores.

Excellent overview - stopping at almost every viewpoint, and two hikes to waterfalls that were amazing. The lakes were fogged in - so they picked me up the next morning for a mini-tour to see the lakes!

The tour was very complete, allowing us to see some of the island’s most iconic points, such as lagoons, waterfalls and miradours. However, it would have been even more enriching with more sharing about local history and geology. Renata was very attentive and made every effort to make sure we visited all the places of interest, so I thank you, but I think you could benefit from a deeper local knowledge.
