Stap voor stap verken je de rijke en complexe geschiedenis van voormalig Tsjecho-Slowakije – overzichtelijk ingedeeld langs een historische tijdlijn. Er zijn twee mogelijkheden : 2 - uur optie is inclusief wandeltocht door het communistische tijdperk Tsjecho-Slowakije. Exclusief de jaren 70 kantine of bunker. 4 - uur optie omvat de 2 - uur durende wandeltocht, 30 minuten pauze in een jaren 70 kantine en nucleaire bunker (toegang tot Cold War Museum is inbegrepen in de prijs). Verken het leven onder het communisme – van de staatsgreep van 1948 en de onderdrukking van de jaren vijftig tot de Praagse Lente, Normalisatie en de Fluwelen Revolutie. Luister naar levendige verhalen en persoonlijke inzichten van je lokale Gids over het dagelijks leven achter het IJzeren Gordijn. Voor de optie van 4 uur: U geniet van een pauze van 30 minuten in een retro arbeiderskantine uit de jaren 1970 (lunch of Kofola optioneel), gevolgd door een bezoek aan een nucleaire bunker uit de Koude Oorlog - inclusief toegang (250 CZK / 10 EUR). Kleine groepen (max 10) voor een persoonlijke, interactieve ervaring.

Leer hoe Tsjechoslowakije onafhankelijk werd in 1918 en waarom Hitler zo geïnteresseerd was om deze staat als eerste te nemen. Maak kennis met enkele historische feiten uit de Tweede Wereldoorlog die van invloed waren op de naoorlogse ontwikkeling van de staat. Ontdek waarom de communistische partij in Tsjechoslowakije de verkiezingen in 1946 won.
In 1948 vierde de Communistische Partij van Tsjecho-Slowakije zijn overwinning op het Oude Stadsplein. Meer informatie over de jaren 50 - Era of Fear. Werkkampen, gemanipuleerde processen, collectivisatie, geheime politie, leven achter het IJzeren Gordijn. Zie waar het grootste monument van Stalin stond.
In augustus 1968 vond de Praagse voorjaarsbezetting voornamelijk hier plaats en in de Vinohradskastraat. Leer de waarheid over deze Sovjet vreedzame hulp. In november 1989 protesteerden mensen tegen het communistische regime. Deze act staat bekend als de Fluwelen Revolutie. Kom meer te weten over Vaclav Havel en andere belangrijke figuren uit de moderne Tsjechische geschiedenis.
Geniet van een lunchpauze met je lokale gids in een authentieke kantine uit de jaren 70. Je kunt Kofola proeven of een lekkere arbeiderslunch.

I so wanted to do this an was not dissapointed learning from tour guide authentic interpretation. The 70s working canteen genuinely enjoyed the kofola . Going into the heavy steel reinforced doors an witnessing all the propaganda having once inside learning an seeing the equipment all explained the chambers an she took photographs of me once underground I crawled underneath Wenceslas street as the house on the street was bombed the hotel which has the underground nuclear bunker an trying the gears manually of the need for air to rid pollutants the rooms Inside the hotel an the listening devices of which somebody could monitor the conversations above the whole experience was amazing one of the best explanation of Vaclav havel an the tribute to the student whom set himself on fire an tragically died as was of protest from his injuries days later.

This tour was excellent! Our guide Clara was a great storyteller & made the already interesting history of Prague & the Czech Republic... even more interesting. The nuclear bunker from the communist/Soviet era was fascinating & definitely had a few surprise perks. Be sure you include this part & the canteen lunch when you book your ticket, if you don't, Be sure you have cash to pay for tge experience. We sipped the canteen lunch but doled out cash for the bunker... It was the best part of the tour.

Our guide did a great job of explaining how the communist regime affected everyday life, in addition to the bigger picture political events. The bunker itself was very interesting... lots of great exhibits.
