Je komt meer te weten over de relaties van Kroatië met buurlanden en het feit dat je deel uitmaakt van vijf verschillende regimes, die drie wrede oorlogen doormaken, allemaal uitgelegd op een makkelijk te begrijpen manier! • Bezoek de WOII tunnels en hoor donkere verhalen over de Kroatische fascistische staat • Leer over communistisch Joegoslavië en zijn Leider Tito • Bezoek een multimediatentoonstelling over de Kroatische vaderlandse oorlog • Begrijp de relaties tussen voormalige Joegoslavië staten in het verleden en tegenwoordig

• We beginnen de tour elke dag van maandag t/m zaterdag om 15:00 uur en op zondag om 11:00 uur bij het ontmoetingspunt
• bezoek de ondergrondse tunnels uit de Tweede Wereldoorlog en de kelder die tijdens de luchtaanvallen op Zagreb als schuilplaats werd gebruikt • leer meer over het leven tijdens het communistische tijdperk in Zagreb • niet inbegrepen tijdens openbare evenementen in de tunnels en kerstmarkt
• bezoek de kelder die gebruikt wordt als schuilkelder en leer meer over de val van Joegoslavië tijdens de multimediatentoonstelling.

Rich and interesting narrative and tour of a fascinating and complex history. Made for an excellent start for our two-week trip in the area.
Great tour to get a well structured overview of what happened in Croatia and the region during 20th century. The guide was knowledgeable and it was interesting to listen to her, she provided just enough information to understand the topic and remember it without being overloaded.
Very informative, challenging and thought provoking
Excellent tour with Ivana, who is a native Croatian. Ivana is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the history of Croatia. It’s our first visit to Croatia and she shared history in a way that will enable us to understand our remaining tours during our stay in Croatia.

Luca was a fantastic guide. Very interesting guy that really makes you feel the history without being preachy and definitely recognising there are different views to a complicated history. I would recommend this if you want to learn about the Croatian aspects of the Balkan conflicts and have 2/3 hours to spare. I asked a lot of questions 😂

Christina was knowledgeable, well spoken and with a sense of humour. The tour covered a lot of information, including some of the history of the empires fighting over Croatia from Austria-Hungary and Ottomans through to WWl and WWll and the creation of Yugoslavia, before leading us on to the Homeland war in the 1990's. We visited the tunnels created as shelters for WWll and now reopened to the public and an old basement also used as a bomb shelter where we watched a video about the Homeland war. It was a good overall view of the conflicts and helped us, as outsiders, make sense of the war. Would recommend if you are interested in history.
Very good guided tour, mindful of the difference between facts and opinions, with an added philosophical concern about war and its, unfortunately, always present relevance. One cannot visit Croatia without being informed of its painful past and, at the same time, that of the former Yugoslavia.
