Galveston is het meest spookachtige eiland ter wereld en was meer dan 70 jaar de thuisbasis van de grootste rosse buurt. De Dark of the Moon-tour combineert de hoogtepunten van onze twee meest populaire en hoogst gewaardeerde tours in één geweldig avontuur, alleen voor volwassenen.

Het historische Strand, een nationaal monument, was vóór de zondvloed de Wall Street van het zuiden. Zoveel mensen probeerden hun toevlucht te zoeken in de bovenste verdiepingen van deze prachtige bankgebouwen, maar kwamen helaas om. Meer dan 10.000 mensen stierven op die noodlottige nacht. Het is tot op de dag van vandaag de grootste nationale ramp.
Terwijl we voor de historische spoorlijn staan waar meer dan 50.000 mannen met de trein zouden komen om de bordelen te bezoeken, zullen we de spoken onderzoeken die tot op de dag van vandaag in het gebouw voortduren.
Zoveel hoogwaardigheidsbekleders, soldaten, politici en zelfs presidenten hebben ingecheckt... maar sommigen hebben nooit uitgecheckt. Op de trappenhuizen en in de gangen klinken huilende snikken. Een soldaat uit de burgeroorlog marcheert op en neer door de lobby zodat iedereen hem kan zien. Een kleine jongen speelt in het hotel waarvan wordt beweerd dat het de geest is van een kind dat buiten de voorkant van het hotel is overreden. Een behulpzame geest zal zelfs voor je uitpakken!
We passeren het operagebouw in het hart van het postkantoor Street Arts and Entertainment District.
We passeren dit mooie historische pand dat een van de vroegste voorbeelden van constructie op basis van stalen frames in de staat vertegenwoordigt.

Rob was great! He is a great public speaker and so knowledgeable. He knew so much! We were hoping to go inside buildings and alleys, but we still had a good time. Maybe bring waters for the guests.

Tour was very lackluster for a Saturday night tour. Tour guide showed up like he just got in from the beach and talked about himself the whole time. Didn’t really know much about the red light district because he had not done the tour in a while. Save your money and do something else.

It is a really fun and interesting tour, you will see and learn different things from the history of the town. It is a one of a kind tour that you'll experience and you won't regret it. A great tour given by a very knowledgeable tour guide. A lot of the "dark" history of early Galveston is there to be learned on this tour.

I lived in Houston my whole life and didn’t know anything about Galveston. We came to Galveston for the weekend to celebrate my wife’s birthday and she’s a history buff and she truly loved it!
