Uw avontuur begint met een pick-up van Calgary, Banff of Canmore. Vanaf het opstappunt maakt u een schilderachtige rit naar Banff en Jasper National Parks. Gesloten vanaf 14 okt De Columbia Icefield Skywalk in Jasper National Park is echt een spannende en ontzagwekkende ervaring! Deze loopbrug met glazen vloer strekt zich uit over de Sunwapta Valley en biedt een adembenemend uitzicht op gletsjers, de Icefields en de ruige schoonheid van de Canadese Rockies. Het is niet alleen het uitzicht dat het bijzonder maakt; het gevoel boven het dal te staan met de bergen en gletsjers die zich voor je uitstrekken is iets wat je nergens anders kunt vastleggen.
We hadden een lunchpauze bij Lake Louise Village, met tijd om de dorpswinkels te verkennen en wat souvenirs op te halen
Alleen voor de winter) Een prachtige plek om te wandelen, Johnston Canyon is een diepe, smalle kloof met watervallen trapsgewijs naar beneden de rotswanden. Het pad volgt het pad van de canyon en leidt naar zowel de Lower Falls als Upper Falls. Het is vooral adembenemend in de herfst wanneer de bladeren levendige kleuren krijgen, of in de winter wanneer de watervallen bevriezen tot ijssculpturen. Our experience started out terrible. The rendezvous was very disorganised and difficult to navigate. Viator’s ‘no brand’ policy made it impossible to identify which bus, out of the many, was ours. We (my hubby and I) were finally herded onto an already overcrowded bus and driven to Cranmore. This part of the trip was very uncomfortable and seemed to take forever. We were then hurried onto an awaiting bus to continue our tour. It was at this point that our whole experience improved immensely. Our guide was exceptional and the bus was much more comfortable with suspension that absorbed the bumps. . Ram is very good at the job and nothing was too much trouble. We saw more of the Rockys’ than we expected to.

An incredible tour and experience! We stopped at several of the most beautiful places I’ve seen in my life. Our tour guide, Ram, was amazing. Very knowledgeable, he pointed out the names as well as the heights of all the mountains on our trip. He kept everyone cool and hydrated, checking that the AC was at the correct temperature in the bus and handing out bottles of water. The highlight was stopping at the side of the road to see a black bear stroll around the bus and cross the road in front of us! Couldn’t recommend more.
