Tijdens deze 6 uur durende tocht ontdekt u de fjorden en verbindingswegen van de Prince William Sound op de route naar de grootste getijdengletsjer van South Central Alaska, de Columbia Glacier. De kapitein uit Alaska en de bemanning vertellen u over de geschiedenis van de Sound en wijzen op de maritieme fauna en vogelsoorten in de buurt zoals zeeotters, zeehonden, zeeleeuwen, walvissen, bruinvissen, adelaars papegaaiduikers en nog veel meer!

Columbia Glacier is de grootste gletsjer in zuid-centraal Alaska. Elke dag kalt Columbia ongeveer 8 miljoen ton ijs af. Afhankelijk van deze ijsstroom zullen we door de grote ijsbergen navigeren die zo dicht bij de voorkant van Columbia komen als het ijs en de veiligheid dicteren.
Prince William Sound is een beschermd deel van de oceaan waar we in cruisen. Het is rijk aan dieren in het wild, gletsjers, prachtige door gletsjers uitgehouwen fjorden en geschiedenis.

Day was wet, some fog and cold. Saw sea lions, sea otters, killer whales and humpback whales. Captain was able to navigate through the ice flows to get us to the west three faces of the glacier. Was a very interesting and fun adventure. Would recommend it to all.
It was amazing in all aspects, where we went, what we saw, the friendliness and eagerness of the to assist was refreshing in this day and age. You will not be disappointed.

We couldn't see the Glacier because of the ice, but we saw ice burgs up close and personal before exploring other aspects of the area. It was amazing and we highly recommend it!
Fantastic tour of Wildlife and Prince William Sound, AK. Captain Kaleb was so knowledgeable in sharing information and pointed out wildlife.
If you want to experience Valdez and the ocean this is the trip to take. Beautiful views and relaxing boat ride. Chance to see glaciers and wildlife. We saw sea lions, sea otters and humpback whales.
The trip there was enjoyable and interesting but it got very long and tiring on the trip back. Just kind of a repeat of what we already saw, but not much you can do about that. It seems like the long trip through the ice to get to the glacier was a waste of time when the glacier was 7 miles away, anyway.The dinner, chicken, rice, and a vegetable was so-so.
Excellent experience. A bit cold at some points but you can go warm up inside and get some tea or coffee
We really enjoyed the comfortable seating and sound system of this newer boat. The tour was not full which made it easy to get around and get photos. The narration was excellent and the captain allowed plenty of time and patience at wildlife sightings and the glacier. There was plenty of staff and we enjoyed the clam chowder soup for lunch. All in all it was an excellent tour and we would highly recommend it.
It was great, wish we could of seen the bottom of the glacier. Check with them beforehand to see how much ice is in the water.
