Deze tour is zeer gewild en uiterst beperkt. De toegang tot de ondergrondse en kerkers van het Colosseum betekent dat groepen beperkt zijn tot 15 personen, en de toegang is beperkt gedurende de dag. Deze tour raakt dagelijks uitverkocht en is een heel bijzondere ervaring. Wanneer u deze tour boekt, kan uw gecertificeerde Gids u zowel op de Arena Floor als eronder meenemen! Je kunt de buik van de arena ingaan en de kooien zien waar de dieren werden gehouden, de tunnels waar gladiatoren op hun beurt in de strijd wachtten en zelfs een werkende replica van een lift die de dieren op de vloer van de arena zou loslaten. U kunt ook rondlopen op het zitniveau van de arena en zelfs het Forum Romanum en de Palatijn verkennen met uw Gids nadat u in het Colosseum bent geëindigd. Dit wil je zeker niet missen een once in a lifetime ervaring!

Je komt de ongelooflijke Colosseum Arena binnen en volgt je Gids naar de toegang Underground en Dungeons, evenals de Arena Floor. Ga onder het niveau van het Colosseum waar de dieren en gevangenen werden gehouden. De tunnels waar de gladiatoren hun gevechten zouden afwachten, evenals waar de coördinator van de spelen de gebeurtenissen van de dag zou orkestreren. Je ziet zelfs een replica van een werkende lift die de leeuwen naar de podiumvloer bracht om de slachtoffers die boven vechten te verrassen. Stijg met je Gids uit de diepten van de kerkers naar het podium van de Arena Floor waar je je als een gladiator in de strijd kunt voelen. Vanaf hier ga je verder omhoog in het toeschouwersgebied om het beste uitzicht in de arena te krijgen! Deze exclusieve toegang is alleen voor degenen die het geluk hebben om deze tour te boeken!
Loop in de voetsporen van keizers terwijl je de Palatijn beklimt waar ze woonden. Kijk rond in de schoonheid van de ruïnes van oude paleizen en de uitzichten die alleen de keizers van Rome hadden. Terwijl je door deze vorstelijke koninklijke huizen loopt, kun je de marmeren vloeren, archeologische vindplaatsen en zelfs een privéstadion voor keizer Domitianus zien. Je gids neemt je mee door de prachtig onderhouden Farnese-tuinen, waar deze adellijke familie de Palatijn in de Renaissance nieuw leven inblies. Wandelend tussen de planten en nymphaeum, krijg je een adembenemend uitzicht op het Forum beneden.
Als je afdaalt van de Palatijn, ga je het Forum Romanum binnen. Dit oude stadscentrum uit de tijd van de Romeinse koningen in de 7e eeuw voor Christus komt weer tot leven terwijl je gids je meeneemt naar het hart van het oude Rome. Loop de Via Sacra af op weg langs de basiliek van Maxentius, de tempel en het huis van de Vestaalse maagden, de tempel van Julius Caesar en zelfs het Senaatshuis. Stel je gidsvragen om het beeld van de gebouwen te schilderen zoals ze waren in het oude Rome.

Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, funny, and clearly cares about his guests as well as the locations he's giving tours in. They had to refund us the "underground" part of the tour because they couldn't secure those tickets. That was disappointing, but the tour was still amazing.

Seeing the Colosseum without a tour guide would just have been a 15 minute trip looking at an impressive building, but Radu brought everything to life!

I was so looking forward to this tour!! Our guide was extremely knowledgeable!! I found it fascinating how they elevated the animals to the upper arena floor. It still amazes me, that this building is centuries old, and still standing. The bus took us almost the entire distance to the tour office, very easy walk from the stop. The kids in the office are very efficient and friendly. Loved the leather goods shop around the corner😉 All in all, we will always use this company, when visiting. Mircea was an excellent guide huge knowledge of Roman history and very witty and engaging, there was issues with access to the Colosseum the day we went but he swiftly picked up on the problem and rerouted so no time lost at all , the group was small as promised so everything ran well , highly recommend this company

What a great tour. Not only did we get into the basement area of the colosseum, we saw the palaces and forum area. Angela did a great job of bringing the entire area life so that it all made sense. She was very easy to understand, enthusiastic about the stories and a joy to be around.
