Het Forum Romanum, ook bekend onder zijn Latijnse naam Forum Romanum, is een rechthoekig forum omringd door de ruïnes van verschillende belangrijke oude overheidsgebouwen in het centrum van de stad Rome. Het politieke en zakelijke centrum van het oude Rome, de waarschuwen weg paden zijn bedekt met geschiedenis. Hier kwamen de burgers om naar toespraken te luisteren, om de senatoren te ontmoeten of om mensen als Julius Caesar of Cicero te zien. De ruïnes vertellen een verhaal, en het is het verhaal van Rome en zijn politiek, met onder andere de oude Curie (de Senaat) die nog steeds zichtbaar is, maar ook met de indrukwekkende marmeren zuilen van tempels die voor het eerst werden opgericht in V eeuw v.Chr.

Houd er rekening mee dat alleen de persoon die op het ticket staat vermeld, wordt toegelaten; last-minute vervangingen zijn helaas niet toegestaan. Het Colosseum Archeologisch Park vereist dat de volledige officiële naam en achternaam op uw identiteitsbewijs overeenkomen met de informatie op uw toegangsticket. Om deze reden vragen wij u vriendelijk om uw volledige wettelijke namen op te geven bij de boeking; bijnamen of variaties kunnen niet worden geaccepteerd.

Just simply amazing!! Our guide was fantastic - so much information and created a story behind the ruins for us…this experience wouldn’t have been the same without her! This was worth every penny - so many lines were bypassed due to the private nature of the tour (a must during the summer - even the ‘skip the line’ lines we do long!) and she was just dedicated to our group and all our questions. She was also very cognizant of our sun exposure while we went thru, constantly finding the shade where she could to bring us and continue sharing the story. The transportation service from our hotel made the whole experience seamless and enjoyable. I would do it all over again, highly recommend! It was so worth it!

Fantastic tour of the Colosseum with professional guide, prepared and very nice. We and our children have discovered many curiosities about the place visited also thanks to the use of headset and tablet that allowed us to view historical reconstructions, photographic details, etc...
