Palatijnheuvel, vierzijdig plateau dat 40 meter ten zuiden van het Forum in Rome en 51 meter boven zeeniveau uitsteekt. Het heeft een omtrek van 1.740 meter. De stad Rome werd gesticht op de Palatijn, waar archeologische vondsten variëren van prehistorische overblijfselen tot de ruïnes van keizerlijke paleizen.

- De beveiliging van het Colosseum controleert de namen en identiteitskaarten van elke bezoeker, zodat het wachten langer kan duren dan verwacht. U kunt alleen binnen met een geldig legitimatiebewijs!
- Geef tijdens het reserveren de volledige namen van alle reizigers op. Als u bij het ticketkantoor niet vóór binnenkomst een voucher met de volledige namen van alle reizigers toont, kan dit ertoe leiden dat u de toegang tot het Colosseum en het Forum Romanum wordt ontzegd.
- De activiteit kan 20/30 min variatie lijden vanwege organisatorische redenen
- Kinderen moeten worden begeleid door een volwassene. Korting voor kinderen jonger dan 18 jaar wordt alleen toegepast met een geldig ID-bewijs! Zonder geldig ID zullen ticketcontrole operators de toegang tot het Colosseum weigeren.

- Houd er rekening mee dat het Colosseum om veiligheidsredenen maximaal 3.000 mensen tegelijk kan ontvangen. Dit kan leiden tot vertragingen in de toegang tot de site, zelfs voor bezoekers die vooraf hebben geboekt.
- Om veiligheidsredenen worden alle bezoekers en hun bagage gecontroleerd.
- Verboden voorwerpen in het Colosseum: flessen en glazen containers, alcholische dranken en spuitbussen, rugzakken, camping, omvangrijke tassen en bagage / trolley
- Kan worden ingevoerd middelgrote en kleine grootte rugzakken aan schouder, die moeten worden gecontroleerd, zoals elke andere tas, met metaaldetectoren, geopend en visueel geïnspecteerd door het Urbe Security Institute, verantwoordelijk voor de ingang inspectie
- Houd er rekening mee dat het Colosseumbestuur, dat afhankelijk is van het ministerie van Culturele Erfgoed en Activiteiten, de bevoegdheid heeft om het Colosseum, of delen ervan, met of zonder kennisgeving te sluiten voor evenementen, stakingen, zware regenval of een andere reden. In dat geval bieden we een alternatieve route aan zoals het passend lijkt en bieden we een gedeeltelijke terugbetaling
- Activiteit niet aanbevolen voor mensen met motorische vertraging
- Geen wijziging op een boeking kan worden geaccepteerd na 24 uur tot de aanvangstijd van de tour. In dat geval wordt geen restitutie verleend.
- Voor de veiligheid van alle gasten behoudt de reisorganisator zich het recht voor om diensten te weigeren aan passagiers die dronken zijn of tekenen van dronkenschap vertonen. Als uw tour daardoor wordt geannuleerd, heeft u geen recht op restitutie.
- Het reisschema kan variëren afhankelijk van weersomstandigheden (ijs, regen of hoge temperaturen) of andere gebeurtenissen buiten de controle van het reisbureau.

When booking online it is not specified that the headphones are not provided and therefore we paid a guided tour without being able to enjoy it. We also thought the price included the total visit to the Coliseum, well no, we were denied access to the elevator to climb to the highest as access to the arena. We should have booked these "favours" online and of course paid extra. Even surprised at the Rome Forum when we wanted to enter the church: we needed another ticket, paid of course, even though it was in the description of the Pop Guide app. Really disappointed.

Ces informations sont également reprises dans le voucher de confirmation, qui décrit précisément le service acheté. Le billet inclut l’accès au Colisée, au Forum Romain et au Mont Palatin. En revanche, l’accès à des zones spécifiques telles que l’arène ou les niveaux supérieurs (avec ascenseur) nécessite des billets différents, non inclus dans cette formule standard. Par ailleurs, ce billet a un tarif plus élevé car il offre une condition avantageuse : une annulation possible avec remboursement à 100% jusqu’à 24 heures avant la visite. Il s’agit donc d’un billet spécifique, avec des conditions clairement indiquées. Toutes ces informations sont disponibles avant réservation. Nous invitons donc toujours à en prendre attentivement connaissance afin d’éviter toute confusion.
Was offered 3 days before the trip to swap for a later time due to a poorly tour guide. This time didn’t work due to our evening flight home. Therefore was offered the audio tour, a self tour led by an app off your phone. Was totally rubbish and I should have been given money off what I paid for a proper guided tour. 4 short and useless clips briefly explaining in the colloseum. Building was so poorly sign posted so was impossible to find way to the Roman sites and palatine hill - the people at the venue were useless too. Providing an overall RUBBISH tour!

This tour did not allow access to the lower level (coliseum floor) but view is actually better from above so I don’t think it’s necessary.

I got there late and I was not able to locate my your guide. So we had to do the whole tour ourselves and did not learn anything. It makes no sense that we cannot meet with our tour guide because we are late

Our staff at the Meet&Greet always call, at the phone numbers left at the moment of the booking, all clients who only showed up before the tours start. We understand that it could be challenging for foreigners to find a meeting point in a new city where most people speak a different language. All other customers saw the meeting point, and the tour left regularly. Our phone number is at H24, seven days a week, and we chat on VIATOR. Unfortunately, the problem you had with reaching the meeting point in time is not under our control or responsibility, including concerning the method our guests chose to get to the meeting point. We are one of the very few agencies with a meeting point far from the crowd and very close to the Colosseum entrance, and as a result, we can hold no responsibility for your late arrival, as this is very clear from the moment of booking. We want to remind you that tickets are dated, timed, named, and not refundable; for this reason, we cannot wait for those who arrive late. The Voucher indicates that all clients must be at the meeting point at least 15/20 minutes before the starting time. In your case, you arrived 10 minutes later than the starting time when the group was already inside the Colosseum. While we do have to skip the line access, every patron still needs to go through the security checkpoint set by the venue. Again, we are very sorry that this tour did not meet your expectations. We had the sweetest guide but he was very very boring. We left the tour early. We wished we would have just went on our own and got the English headset at the gate.

Tour guide was very informative and ensured we kept to the shade. Was very attentive and helpful when a member of the party injured themselves. I am ensure of our tour guides name but we were on the 11am tour on July 16th 2024. Would highly recommend if you would like a lot of good information with pictures included and good photography spots.
