Slimme getimede route : Deze semi-privétour is gepland rond de geplande toegang tot de Colosseum Arena. Ochtendtours beginnen meestal in het Forum Romanum en de Palatijn voordat u het Colosseum binnengaat. Middagtours beginnen meestal met de toegang tot de Colosseum Arena, gevolgd door het Forum Romanum en de Palatijn. Semi-privé groep (max 6) : Een echt kleine groep voor gemakkelijkere beweging door de sites, tijd voor foto's en veel vragen. Gegarandeerde toegang tot Arena Floor : Arena Floor is gegarandeerd op de getoonde boekbare data. Betreed het Colosseum via de Gladiatorpoort en stap op de Arena-verdieping, met uitzicht op de ondergrondse servicegebieden van bovenaf. Tickets op naam + ID : Tickets zijn naamspecifiek. Forum Romanum & Archeologisch gebied Palatijn: Wandel door het politieke en ceremoniële hart van het oude Rome. Uw Gids brengt het Forum tot leven met duidelijke oriëntatiepunten en verhalen die de tempels, bogen en openbare ruimtes verbinden met het dagelijks leven, de macht en de openbare ceremonie.
Palatine Hill : Ga verder naar de Palatijn, de legendarische geboorteplaats van Rome en later de buurt van de keizers. We richten ons op de meest schilderachtige uitzichtpunten en belangrijke gebieden om de verhalen over de oorsprong van Rome te verbinden met het landschap waarin je je bevindt.
Colosseum + Arena verdieping : Ga door de Gladiator's Gate en stap op de Arena Floor voor het klassieke 'gladiator's eye' uitzicht. Van hieruit kijken we van bovenaf in het hypogeum terwijl je Gids uitlegt hoe de machinerie en enscenering achter de schermen werkten. Vervolgens gaan we verder door de belangrijkste interieurniveaus van het Colosseum, waarbij we ons richten op de architectuur, engineering en de realiteit van de bril. Toegang is op een gereserveerd tijdslot; de route is ontworpen om het Colosseum op tijd te bereiken.

- Opties voor openbaar vervoer zijn in de buurt aanwezig
- Reizigers moeten ten minste een gemiddelde conditie hebben
- Zorg dat je 30 minuten voor de vertrektijd aanwezig bent die op je boeking staat. De check-in sluit 15 minuten voor vertrek. Als de volledige groep vroeg aanwezig is, kan de Gids het verzamelpunt verlaten voor de geplande vertrektijd en naar de eerste ingang gaan.

We were hosted by Marle for private tours of the Vatican and Colosseum. Marle has a real passion for Rome and was a very informative tour guide. There was an overwhelming amount of artefacts to see at both locations and this tour was a perfect way to take it all in a short space of time. Although this tour is not cheap, we felt like it was good value for money for the quality of tour guide and for an experience with no waiting in lines.

We booked this tour based on reviews and Merel did not disappoint. I was super relieved that it was not cancelled as the group was very small. Our guide brought the history to life and she was unbelievably knowledgeable about Rome! She even gave suggestions for stops on the remaining days of our vacation. A fantastic tour which was made by the knowledge and enthusiasm of our guide, Teresa. Her narration of the history of the Colosseum and Forum was full of small anecdotes (who knew that the fertility of the Roman nobles was affected by the lead pipes in their palaces!) as well as describing a broad sweep of Roman history. The trip ‘underground’ is definitely worth the extra money, absolutely fascinating and a view of the Colosseum that most of the crowds miss. Highly recommended.
