Colombia’s grootste watervallen: La Chorrera wandeling

Begin je dag met een dagavontuur naar La Chorrera & El Chiflón, de hoogste watervallen van Colombia. Ontmoet je tweetalige gids bij The Cranky Croc Hostel en geniet van een traditioneel ontbijt in de buurt in Bogotá voordat je de weelderige Andeshooglanden intrekt. Wandel door een bruisend bos op 2.600 meter hoogte en leer over inheemse planten, wilde dieren en Muisca-erfgoed. Afhankelijk van de omstandigheden van het parcours kunt u eerst El Chiflón bezoeken of rechtstreeks naar La Chorrera gaan, waar u 590 meter van een torenhoge klif afduikt. Geniet van vrije tijd om te ontspannen, foto's te maken en verbinding te maken met de natuur. Na het genieten van het landschap, deel je een lunch op het platteland met je groep voordat je terugkeert naar Bogotá – verfrist, geïnspireerd en diep verbonden met de natuurlijke schoonheid van Colombia. Deze ervaring combineert avontuur, cultuur en duurzaamheid en biedt een zinvolle ontsnapping naar het hart van de Andes. Geniet van een traditioneel Colombiaans ontbijt in het historische centrum van Bogotá voordat u de bergen intrekt. De exacte locatie kan variëren afhankelijk van de gids en de dag.
Reis per busje door het Andes platteland richting de watervallen. 1 uur en 30 minuten
Begin de wandeling met een bezoek aan El Chiflón, een kleinere waterval omringd door weelderige bossen.
Wandel door een biodivers nevelwoud en leer van je gids over het Muisca-erfgoed.
Bereik Colombia's hoogste waterval (590m) en geniet van adembenemende uitzichten en onderdompeling in de natuur.
Ontspan, maak foto's of maak contact met de natuur voordat u teruggaat.
Lunch Stop – Restaurant op het platteland in de buurt van El Chiflón Laad op met een stevige lunch voordat u terugkeert naar Bogotá.
Transfer terug – Choachí naar Bogotá Sluit de dag af met een comfortabele rit terug naar de stad. 1 uur en 30 minuten

The hike to La Chorrera was an incredible experience and one of the highlights of my short time in Colombia. The drive from Bogotá was scenic, winding through beautiful mountain landscapes and countryside. The hike itself was even better, with stunning views throughout the trail and an impressive waterfall at the end. I was traveling solo, but there were three other solo travelers in the group, which made for a fun and relaxed atmosphere. Everyone was friendly, and it was great getting to share the experience with people from different places. One thing that really made the day special was the weather. We had some light rainfall on the drive and the first part of the hike, which brought in a layer of fog and mist that gave the mountains a dramatic, almost mystical atmosphere. By the time we reached the waterfall, the rain had passed and the sun came out, completely transforming the landscape. The views went from moody and mysterious to bright and vibrant in a matter of minutes. It felt like getting the best of both worlds in a single hike. Our guide, Natalia, was outstanding. She was knowledgeable, engaging, and always happy to answer questions about the area. She did a great job bringing the group together and made sure everyone felt included and comfortable throughout the day. It felt less like a guided tour and more like a hike with friends. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Bogotá who wants to experience the natural beauty of Colombia. Between the scenery, the changing weather, the great company, and Natalia's excellent guidance, it was a memorable day from start to finish.

The hike to La Chorrera was incredible! The drive out from Bogota was very picturesque. The hike itself was just as amazing with stunning views all around, we couldn’t get enough. Our tour guide Lorena was phenomenal, she knew everything about the area, always had answers to our questions, and made sure we felt like we belonged. The entire time it felt like we were on a hike with friends. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience! We highly recommend this to anyone who wants to see the natural beauty of Colombia.
