Tour naar de Cocoravallei en de Santa Rita-waterval
Beschrijving
Ontdek de Cocoravallei met al zijn kunstmatige en natuurlijke attracties, inclusief een paardrijtocht naar de rivier met een kleine waterval (u kunt ook zonder ervaring rijden). Ervaar daarnaast de ware schoonheid van de valleien en de uitzichtpunten met waspalmen, samen met de prachtige 360-gradenlandschappen en attracties, zoals het grote Cocora-bord. Na zoveel genieten is er niets lekkerder dan een typische lunch (rijst, salade, reuzenpatacón met forel, hogao en limonade). Als u geen vis lust, kunt u deze vervangen door rundvlees, kipfilet of varkenshaasje (afhankelijk van het soort vlees kan het gerecht variëren). Ga op pad en bezoek de Santa Rita-waterval, waar u een prachtig, dromerig landgoed en de bijbehorende tuinen kunt bezichtigen. Daarna begint u aan de rest van de wandeling, waarbij u door de oude spoortunnels, het natuurlijke bos, de kampeerterreinen en de hangbruggen loopt. Bij de waterval vindt u een kleedruimte waar u kunt zwemmen.

Vertrekkend vanuit Salento, de vadergemeente van Quindío, vertrekken we naar de Cocora-vallei in het jeep willys transport voor ongeveer 20 tot 25 minuten, vergezeld van de lokale gids.
We hebben een prachtige tocht gemaakt door de vallei van de palmen en uitzichtpunten van waspalmen van Colombia en het gebied van het begin van de berg.
Paardrijtocht van ongeveer 30 minuten (optioneel) van de esperanza-stal naar het mini-natuurbos en langs de rivier die een kleine waterval vormt.
Typische Salento-lunch (rijst, bonen of graan van de dag, vlees van de dag, salade of limonade) of combo met gigantische pataconforel, varkensvlees of kip met salade, rijst en limonade.
Bezoek aan de Santa Rita-boerderij die ons tijdens een circuitachtige tour een waterval van 17 meter laat zien waartoe we toegang hebben, een natuurlijk zwembad (grotten en tunnels optioneel)

We went on the tour with Nicolas and were amazed by the wax palms. When you stop for a little coffee, make sure to try the cake with guava and cheese!

Loved this tour, it had everything we wanted. Daniel was an excellent guide and pointed out a lot of things we would've missed about plants, nature, native birds, and the history. The horse back riding was a great experience but in the short side, there are other tours that feature more of that if you want a longer house back riding experience. The views from the lookout of the cocora valley are stunning. You will see nature in its splendor as well as all the photo op spots (the hand, wings, cocora valley sign, etc). There's also the option of a seeing a bigger waterfall or smaller one. We chose the one big one. The hike to get there was steep and challenging so be forewarned. We made it and it was worth the effort. Bonus, this cute dog that lives on the area will walk up with you and guide you to the spot. Overall great experience and I would recommend.
This was a great tour! Our guide Dani was so kind and informative. We learned a lot and had a great day of adventures. I enjoyed having a guide to handle everything even though it is possible to go on your own. He taught us a lot of things I wouldn't otherwise know about the area. Great experience!
The tour was a great way to experience the Cocora Valley. I really enjoyed being able to be in the valley before large amounts of people arrived for the day. Would definitely recommend.
