The tour description states that it is for max 50 people. We were 83 people, mixed English and Spanish tour. From the first moment the tour guide was teling us it will be a crazy day, it will be very stressfull day. Telling us to leave our bags with wallets and passports in the bus and only take out phones, repelant and container with water and not carry a backpack because the backpacks will be checked at the Tulum entrance and if we get stuck on the line for checking the backpacks he will leave us behind. He told us that there are so many mosquitos and they can bite you though 4 layers of clothes and if you have forgotten to bring a repelant you can buy it from them, a tiny tiny one, for 10 US dollars. Tulum is on the coast, for everybody who ever lived on any coast will tell you mosquitos do not like windy plases, and at the coast it is aways windy. As expected I did not see even 1 mosquito. We were constantly rushed, were not given time to buy souvenirs at either of the locations. At the Tulum site we got split in 2 groups - one for English and one for Spanish. The guy that spoke good English was leading the Spanish group and the person that was leading the English speaking group spoke very pour English and not sure if it was because of that or if he just did not have a lot of knowledge, but he gave us very few details about the site history. At the Coba site you have to walk about 2 miles to get to the piramid. There are bikes and tricycles offered for 180 pessos. We choose to walk and the tour guide walked with us on the way to the piramid. After we were done we , with 3 other couples, were standing waiting for the tour guide only to see them both zip by us on a tricycle leaving us behind to find our way back through the jungle. Ones we got to the bus it was again - hurry, you are the last ones, we are late for lunch. They could have told us we have to take a tricycle on the way back, it would not have been a problem, but if you give people a choise then you should account for the extra time it takes to walk. The lunch was a buffet, the food was bad, we did not eat anything. I had a drink included with the meal so we ordered a non-alcoholic cocktail, just to be told at the end , not at the time we purchased it, that the non-alcoholic cocktails are not included in the list of free drinks so we had to pay for them. The entry to the cenote was through very steep spiral staircase, all children and few of the adults were completely terrified. There is no way to pass each other if one was going up and another was going down so you had to hold for dear live to the railing standing on one leg on very slippery wooden staircase. Overall the tour guide was right - it was very stressful day. People that come to visit this beautiful country and see the reach history are not looking for more stress. Maybe they should shorten the intenerary. We did not get home until 11pm(23:00). Would not recomend this tour.

A great day out learning about Maya culture!

We thoroughly enjoyed our day visiting all these great places. Tulum was great and we were split into 2 groups so English and Spanish were well catered for and all the information was given. Would have loved a little more time to buy little gifts as we were in and out within an hour so pretty rushed. Coba was excellent and great to have the bikes to get there, would not have had enough time to walk it for sure. The guides didn’t give a time to get back so a little unsure of timings which would have helped. The lunch was delicious, only disappointment was no drink provided and ended up paying 300 pesos for a frozen drink, a little more than I would expect but didn’t want to seem rude to the host. The cenote was fabulous, again small gripe about paying $4 each for a life vest which all adds up throughout the day. Very long day if travelling from Cancun so be prepared for the 12+ hours

Sites are beautiful. Organizing could have been much better..l

The sites were wonderful. The Cenote was amazing. Other guests on the tour with us had paid less $. We got drinks in the van and, one free much smaller drink than everyone else with our lunch. Certainly and absolutely not worth the extra charge we paid. We did realize there was a cheaper option. The instruction were not clear to the English speaking people on the tour and we all were confused. We also missed out on the Mayan ceremony after lunch as we were not given proper instructions. Overall our guide was kind and informative when we did get his message to us. The need a microphone in the van OR he needs to project his voice more. We asked for clarification a few times but got tired of trying to track him down. At Coba we were sent off with the larger group and it was Spanish and English. Whereas at Tulum our guide se Separated the English speakers. Overall could be much better experience. I was on the similar tour last year and it was much better and more personalized.

Dear Kathy, Thank you for sharing your detailed feedback. We genuinely appreciate your insights, as they help us to continue improving our services. Regarding the price of the tour, we would like to kindly highlight that the full cost is always displayed on Viator and can be compared with other options. It is important to note that many tours that appear cheaper often require an additional tax payment in cash upon boarding, while our pricing is fully transparent and includes all taxes. Additionally, our tours provide complimentary drinks during transportation and one drink at lunch, which is rarely included in other similar packages. Concerning the guide, we will thoroughly review the feedback forms and take appropriate measures. We understand the importance of providing clear and comprehensive information during historical tours, as this is crucial for an enriching experience. To date, we have not received similar concerns from other guests on your tour, but your feedback will certainly be considered to ensure the highest standards. Thank you again for your valuable comments, and we hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back and provide an even better experience in the future. Best regards, Olga Sakhrannaia The OlMar Travel Mexico Team

Coba Maya trip with Tui

Luis Luis our guide for the day was very knowledgeable, we had a small party of 8 in a minibus. he got us there early., in fact before anyone else , so we missed the crowds , he suggested using the bikes if everyone was comfortable with that, would def recommend the bikes , as it's a long walk, got us to dinner early , & then the Cenote, again we were the first ones there , but even when the other coach arrived it was not at all overcrowded. Plenty of cold water/juice all day for everyone, even baby wipes to freshen up. Great day, very informative , got bac to hotel in afternoon , plenty of time to cool off in the pool.

Awesome tour! Suzannah was a great tour guide. Very informative and the sites were amazing. Pick up was on time and everything was very organized. Leg room is a little tight on the bus, but other than that, it was a very comfortable ride. Highly recommend this tour!
