We had the best guide , Andy, who knew so much about the sea life and explained and pointed out what we were seeing as we paddled through the pristine waters surrounding the mangroves. It was especially fun to watch the Hawksbill and Green Sea turtles moving so swiftly and seeing their heads as they surfaced. Important to have high spf sunburn lotion on because the sunburn happening even with that protection. Don't miss this unique opportunity.
We were a little disappointed in this tour. First a couple joining the tour was quite late, we sat in the parking lot waiting to start for 40 minutes. Once the tour starts a small boat tows you out to the mangroves. We did see a lemon shark and tons of turtles, however the mangroves were overcrowded with tons of tour groups, at times we had to wait for groups to clear to access the channels. We were then towed to the iguana island. While the iguanas are interesting, this addition doesn’t really make sense on this tour, you don’t kayak there at all. While on our way to the island one of the kayaks in our group started to fill with water and sink with another couple in it. This was clearly due to the weight/size of the individuals. The tour company should really implement a weight limit or offer alternate kayaks for larger persons. Overall the wildlife was impressive but I would not personally recommend this tour to others.

Regarding Iguana Island, this stop is included as part of the overall experience to give guests the chance to enjoy both the wildlife in the mangroves and a visit to one of our unique local attractions. We understand that this may not be the right fit for everyone, and we appreciate your perspective. We also sincerely apologize for the issue with the kayak. The customer service was outstanding! I made a mistake about our pick up, and they tracked us down and picked us up at our hotel even though it made them run late. The tour itself was magical! We saw lemon sharks and many adorable sea turtles. The guides worked very hard to ensure we could see as much as possible. The stop on Iguana Island was fun too- I loved seeing the lizards up close and personal. Excellent adventure!

This was a great excursion! Seeing the iguanas and sea turtles were a huge highlight for me and my teen/young adult children. Clear kayaks were very cool. The water was crystal clear with pristine beaches. Being towed to and from the iguanas was very relaxing. Definitely worth the money.
We enjoyed our tour of mangroves and iguana island. We seen alot of green and hawkbill turtles that were very close to enjoy and get pictures of.
We had a fantastic time- Edwin was a wonderful guide who made sure we saw it all- turtles, rays, conch, sharks, jellyfish, iguanas and more. The clear boats are fun and a great way to experience the shallows. Highly recommend!
My daughter and I booked this tour excited to be able to go into the Mangroves and see many turtles and baby sharks as well as conch as this is what the tour was about. The guides were wonderful and we were all towed by a jet ski out to a spot in the water which was fun. Then, the bomb was dropped, we were told that it was "High Tide" so the water in the mangroves was too shallow for us to safely take the canoes into it. We paddled to one area (not in the mangroves) where we did see a few sea turtles and paddled constantly to try to catch them and see them. We then paddled to an island and walked on it a brief while and did see many iguanas and enjoyed that greatly. We then paddled to the entry of the mangroves, but still could not actually go into them because it was still too shallow. The jet ski then returned and towed us back to where the tour started. Our tour guide was wonderful and the only other couple on the tour with us were fun so we did have a good time, but we were very disappointed in the tour as what we signed up for was completely different than what we actually experienced. I truly felt like we should have gotten a refund. Perhaps, if the guides know that going into the mangroves at the time of a tour, an offer of a refund to those signed up should be offered before leaving on the tour.
Nick was a great guide. He took excellent care of us and taught us a lot about Iguana Island and the mangroves. He did a fantastic job showing us the wildlife. Overall, we had a beautiful tour.
