This experience was wonderful. We were able to tandem kayak, putting one adult with one child. The guides were awesome, particularly William who was so kind to our youngest. Would highly recommend this experience!
What an experience! It was great and so glad we did this! Something very special about being in the water and experiencing the scenery and wildlife (seals) first hand (within 15 feet) of our kayaks. William our Guide was awesome !!
we had such a great experience with our guide Luna! it was our first time kayaking and the experience was so easy! she gave us a great history of the region and iceland and we even saw a baby seal in the water! highlight of our trip!
We had a great time with our excellent guides William and Luna! Extremely enjoyable trip (we even saw seals), not to speak of the hot chocolate and cookies at the end!
Great experience! Thanks to Greg for all the commentary throughout the outing. Splendid landscapes. A must-do.
Thank you William and Louna for this enchanting tour, with breathtaking landscapes. It was a magical moment accompanied by excellent professionals and in the presence of seals and very beautiful birds. Comforting surprise upon arrival with hot chocolate and cookies. We recommended this spot to the travel agency.
We visited this small town from a cruise ship and had a really great experience kayaking. William was our guide and was fantastic. He and his wife are both guides and were kind and considerate of the weather conditions. They were carefully watching the wind conditions to make sure it was safe to kayak. William kept safety a priority after we launched and advised us to keep close to the coast line for calmer seas. Rest assured you do not to be experienced to do this excursion and you’ll be provided with all the right gear. I would recommend this experience to anyone visiting this town. They will take care of you and cancel/refund you if it’s too windy.
it was a great couple hours spent on the water, just taking in all the wonderful views. we got blessed with good weather but the waterproof suit they provide should do the trick no matter how the weather is. our guide was super kind, gave us waterproof phone cases, took photos of us on the water, and gave us suggestions for other sites to see in the area. it is a bit of an arm workout as you go through the area so be prepared!
We had a fantastic guide William. We toured the bay, spent time watching seals and they did not disappoint. It is easy kayaking and a great experience. The bay is protected and you are in a dry suit. It is very safe. Ask for William!
Our family (adults and young teenagers) enjoyed this excursion a lot. Even though it was a bit rainy, we stayed very warm and dry. (The special suits provided were great!) The equipment was all provided and in good repair. The scenery was beautiful, and the pace was comfortable. Kayaking is hard work if you’re not used to it, but you can stop when you need to, and the bay was quite protected. We saw some adorable Harbour seals who were quite curious about our boats and came to check us out. Our guide Luna was very kind, friendly, and mindful of wildlife and ecology. Hot chocolate and cookies at the end was a nice touch, and we also got good advice about the other sights on the peninsula. In case you were wondering like I was: there is a bathroom at the office where you depart, and you can just wear ordinary clothes, we stayed dry. No swimsuits needed. The excursion provided waterproof cases for phones during the excursion (no extra charge) so you can safely take photos on the water.
