Sanssouci is een historisch gebouw in Potsdam. Gebouwd door Frederik de Grote, koning van Pruisen, als zijn zomerpaleis, wordt het vaak gerekend tot de Duitse rivalen van Versailles.
De Oude Markt is een centraal gelegen plein in het centrum van Potsdam dat het historische centrum van de stad vormt.
Het nieuwe paleis is een paleis gelegen aan de westkant van het Sanssouci-park in Potsdam, Duitsland. De bouw begon in 1763, na het einde van de Zevenjarige Oorlog, onder koning Friedrich II en werd voltooid in 1769. Het wordt beschouwd als het laatste grote Pruisische barokke paleis.

Our tour guide Martin was fantastic- he was very knowledgeable and super friendly!! He customized the tour to our needs and preferences and did not try to pack too many places in the time we had. It was a very leisurely tour and informative at the same time. Highly recommend both this tour and Martin and the guide!!

Betty did a very good job of getting us to various points in Potsdam. Her knowledge of the area was very good and her history again very good. There was a lot of walking on the tour and so that surprised me as I knew there was some walking but not to the amount we did. That is not Betty’s fault however since I am mobility challenged it was a bother for me. Again this is not Betty… but for the cost of the day per person we have had a private driver in other cities who took us to all points by car
San Souci palace was the highlight. However unfortunately we got a late start as we missed the direct train because our guide had to purchase tickets resulting in poor time slots for the 2 palaces. This delayed us by over an hours overall and thus missed other items on our itinerary.

This was an excellent adventure to Postdam. Our tour guide, Miha, was very helpful and informative. He was also flexible and customized our tour based on what we wanted to see. Would definitely recommend.

We also enjoyed a lovely stroll through the mature gardens of the Sans Souci Palace and a very pleasant walk through the central area of Potsdam.
