Vertrekkend vanuit La Spezia, varen we langs alle vijf dorpen, langs de kustlijn om de hoogtepunten van het ruige landschap, verborgen baaien en historische overblijfselen niet te missen die alleen zichtbaar zijn over zee en onder begeleiding van onze deskundige bemanning. Onderweg is er tijd om te stoppen en te zwemmen in de kristalheldere blauwe zee, of gewoon te ontspannen op de boot, terwijl de ondergaande zon op het water danst. Terwijl we wachten op de zonsondergang, verkennen we de magische baai van Portovenere, inclusief Byron's Grotto, voordat we een toast uitbrengen voor de prachtige achtergrond van Portovenere. We keren dan terug naar La Spezia in de prachtige schemering. Portovenere, dat vaak over het hoofd wordt gezien, maar misschien wel de mooiste van de kustdorpen van het gebied is, is ook de oudste, met historische wonderen als de kerk van St. Peter die bijna gecamoufleerd bovenop de steile rotswand op het meest westelijke punt van de stad zit, en het dominante Doria-kasteel dat uitkijkt over het dorp. Het meest noordelijke dorp van de Cinque Terre is Monterosso, dat in twee kanten is verdeeld: het historische centrum en de "nieuwe" kant genaamd Fegina, met een voetgangerstunnel die de twee verbindt. Monterosso is uitgestrekter dan de andere dorpen en is de enige die stranddiensten aanbiedt, waardoor het de meest bezochte van de Cinque Terre is.
Vernazza, de kleinste van de Cinque Terre, en algemeen bekend als de meest charmante met een prachtige kleine haven en de kerk van St. Margaretha van Antiochië die direct aan het water ligt. Hier ziet u ook de Belforte-toren die direct aan de haven ligt als een baken van bescherming voor het kleine dorp.
Corniglia, 100 meter hoog op een rotswand, is het enige dorp zonder haven en beschikt over een panoramisch terras waar u Manarola en Riomaggiore in het zuiden en Vernazza en Monterosso in het noorden kunt zien.
Een korte rit langs de kust en we vinden Manarola, dat aan de andere kant van de Via del Amore ligt en deel uitmaakt van de gemeente Riomaggiore. Manarola staat bekend om zijn wijnproductie en produceert de unieke dessertwijn genaamd Sciacchetrà die alleen in dit gebied te vinden is.
Terwijl we verder langs de kust varen, is Riomaggiore het laatste van de Cinque Terre-dorpen die we zullen tegenkomen. Met felgekleurde huizen die verticaal op de omliggende heuvels zijn gebouwd, is Riomaggiore het op een na grootste van de vijf dorpen en staat het algemeen bekend om zijn uitstekende duikplekken voor de kust in het beschermde zeegebied dat zich langs de Cinque Terre uitstrekt. Hier ziet u ook waar het wereldberoemde wandelpad Via del Amore begint, dat naar het naburige Manarola leidt.

It was an unforgettable experience. We could enjoy a beautiful boat trip with a nice drink in hand and sailed to a nice spot where we could swim during the sunset.

A great cruise excursion for those looking for something different to do out of port La Spezia. My family and I were not interested in the hour to Pisa with no traffic and two hours to Florence. We would have been rushed and spent more time on a bus than traveling. This was a beautiful, relaxing tour. From the beginning the company was very easy and pleasant to communicate with while booking and then continued to promptly answer any questions I had prior to the trip. Directions on where to meet were easy to follow. It’s a short walking distance from port. We were greeted by Simone and Catarina aboard the boat with fresh fruit, delicious foccia bread and any drink we could want. The snorkel/ swim spots were beautiful. The town stop was cute and a great experience. The 6 hours blew by. The food served was delicious and everything was taken care of for us from towels to Dramamine if we had needed. A beautiful way to spend the day along the Italian cost. This was a much better excursion than any cruise ship would offer. Thanks for a beautiful day and even more beautiful memories!
The most exceptional tour and highlight of our Italy trip was our Cinque Terre tour with Sara and Simone. Booking and coordinating our trip with them was seamless. We were coordinating with Megan and she was very organized with our reservation, and even prepared our car transfer from the train to our airbnb and to the docks. They were very flexible with our schedule. Sara was a wonderful tour guide, she was very knowledgeable and engaging, we learned a lot about the history and landscape of the region. Our captain, Simone was amazing as well! We appreciate the time and effort it took for us to have an enjoyable tour, not rushing our stops and our swimming time. The boat itself is very clean, modern, comfortable and spacious for our family of four. The tasting (both the wine and the food) was enjoyable and delicious as well. Last and definitely not the least, we appreciate that they let us soak in the beautiful sunset with the wild goats. We enjoyed and loved this tour and have never experienced anything like it. If you are in the area and have the time, BOOK THIS TOUR! You are in for a treat!
Experience that I recommend to everyone. After hitting the pavement for 4 days on the hiking trails along the 4 villages... a completely different approach by sea.

An all-round successful boat tour to Cinque Terre. We were a total of 5 people and had reserved the tour from Germany in advance by email. Excellent contact. Reservation made without deposit or other. Then unexpectedly received an upgrade to the Blue Boat. 2 stops in the villages. Very pleasant crew. Drinks and snacks were served. Absolute recommendation. You can't look at the villages more beautifully.

Our family booked a tour as part of our Italian adventure this summer. I had many questions for Megan prior to our visit because we were staying in Lucca and not the Cinque Terre area. She promptly and patiently answered all of my questions. We booked the 6 hour day tour on the black boat. Our experience exceeded our expectations! The seas were a bit choppy the day of our tour, but are visit was just perfect. We toured all five villages from the sea and made a stop at Monterosso. After our tour of the villages, we stopped at swam off the coast of Porto Venere. We were treated to a delightful lunch before we headed back to La Spezia! I highly recommend seeing Cinque Terre from the sea. The views were spectacular and if you do so, do it with The Blue Boat Cinque Terre Tours!
