De stad Suchitoto ligt in het pittoreske departement Cuscatlán, op slechts 47 kilometer afstand van de hoofdstad. Suchitoto staat bekend als een warme stad en wordt beschouwd als een nationaal historisch juweel vanwege de rijkdom van het koloniale erfgoed en het karakteristieke kunstmatige meer Suchitlán dat zijn prachtige panoramische uitzichten siert. De Nahuatl-toponymie betekent "Plaats van de bloemvogel." De straten worden gekenmerkt door geplaveide straten en hun koloniaal ogende huizen met prachtige balkons vervoeren alle bezoekers een reis naar het verleden. In de passages vind je kunstgalerijen met ongelooflijke voorbeelden van nationale kunst en kleurrijke winkels met houten producten, prachtige weefgetouwen, met indigo geverfde kleding en talloze persoonlijke accessoires om je huis te versieren.
Cihuatan De grootste archeologische vindplaats in El Salvador, ligt op 30 km van de stad San Salvador. Deze nederzetting is ontstaan na de beroemde ineenstorting van de Maya's. Cihuatan is een postklassieke Pipil City tussen 900 en 1200 na Christus. Op een totaal van 70 hectare zijn meer dan 100 heuvels gevonden. Hier kunt u het ballenveld, tempels, musea enz. Observeren.

I truly enjoyed this tour as I found Gaby to be quite engaging and knowledgeable about the country’s history as well as its future. I thought the rum tour was quite delightful. The gentleman who does the tour show such excitement about the future of the rum, the first in Salvador.I was very happy with the courtesy gift as I love their branding and marketing strategy. Quite impressive. I also enjoyed the tour to the Maya ruins as well as having lunch in this colonial town overseeing this beautiful lake. Overall, the day went very fast, all of it very enjoyable much to both Gaby‘s efforts and patience.
Josue was very friendly and knowledgeable. Was able to answer our questions and inform us about El Salvador history. His recommendations for food to try was top notch

El Salvador is a developing country with amazing sites to explore. El Parque Arqueológico Cihuatan is a peaceful place. Although the weather was hot, you could appreciate its wonders. Then we went to Cihuatan Rumerie; the organization, attention, and tasting were a great experience. They have a neat Rumerie and are well organized. This stop is a must!! The little town of Suchitoto is beautiful!! You can feel the peaceful life that this community has. But this trip wasn’t this amazing without Josue!!! He is very knowledgeable, kind and funny! During the journey, he always had information to share. We recommend this adventure 100% !!
