De Great Holy See Temple, gebouwd in 1926, wordt beschouwd als een van de meest opvallende bouwwerken in heel Zuidoost-Azië. Het is het hoofdkwartier van de unieke Cao Dai-sekte, een religie met een mengeling van boeddhisme, christendom en confucianisme. Boven de ingang is het alziende heilige oog - symbool van de sekte. Bezoekers zullen het extravaganza van de middagceremonie bijwonen om getuige te zijn van de dagelijkse mis gehouden door de Cao Dai-volgelingen, wat een fantastische ervaring is.
Ga naar Cu Chi om de verbazingwekkende plek te verkennen waar Viet Cong zich tijdens de oorlog verstopte. Het is nu een populaire plek voor zowel Vietnamese als buitenlandse toeristen - het netwerk van meer dan 200 km aan tunnels werd legendarisch toen ze een cruciale rol speelden in de oorlog. In hun glorietijd functioneerden de tunnels als ondergrondse steden, waaronder tal van valdeuren, speciaal aangelegde woonruimtes, opslagfaciliteiten, wapenfabrieken, veldhospitalen, commandocentra en keukens. Er is veel bewijs van de hevige strijd die hier plaatsvond in de jaren zestig toen Cu Chi een "vrije doelzone" was. Bezoekers kunnen een korte introductievideo bekijken die laat zien hoe de tunnels werden gebouwd voordat ze de tunnels betraden. Breng het volgende uur door met het verkennen van de tunnels. Geniet daarna van thee, cassave (guerrilla's eten in oorlogstijd). Keer terug naar SaiGon.

Our first time in Vietnam. So much to see and do. Always wanted to go to the ChuChi tunnels. We certainly lucked out with a tour guide, Jackie from Kim’s Travel. Spoke great English, was so knowledgeable about everything and explained everything in detail at each stopping point. There was only about 8 in the group which was perfect. Got to walk through them see how they all were fitted out. On the way we stopped at a factory where everything is handmade with 60percent of the takings go to the Vietnam families affected by agent orange. Jackie thanks again . Must visit item if visiting Vietnam. The history of the war is very interesting and very moving. Definitely worth experiencing a small piece of what the Vietnamese experienced during the war. The guide was very knowledgeable and very open about what happened. Great guy!
Worth a visit! We stayed at Eden star hotel. To go the Cu Chi tunnels, we hired taxi from Grab for both ways. Booked on Grab app for one way and the driver agreed to take take us back to the hotel also. The tickets cost for a family for 4 people is approximately 600,000 VND and this cost includes a local guide available at the site. The tickets have to be purchased at the entrance of the site. The tunnels are located at two locations i.e Bin Dinh and Bin Duoc. We had gone to Bin Duoc tunnels which are supposed to be better and more authentic. Private tour operators charge double the money for a private tour and not worth it. Doing by yourself is easy and saves money! It took us about about 1.5 hrs from the hotel to the tunnels.
