Het hotel haalt de handel rond 07:00 uur op, gasten worden over de weg vervoerd van Livingstone voor ongeveer 1 uur rijden naar Kazungula, één grenshalte, waar u uw paspoortformaliteiten voor zowel Zambiaanse als Botswana-zijde zult doen, net nadat u de nieuw gebouwde Kazungula-brug bent overgestoken. De gids aan de kant van Botswana wacht op je, zodra we de gids hebben ontmoet, rijd je door naar ons Botswana-kantoor waar je een korte briefing over de activiteit krijgt. Na de briefing besluiten de gidsen om ofwel te beginnen met een gamedrive, lunch en dan riviersafari cruise of andersom. Dieren beschikbaar in het park Afrikaanse geschilderde hond, blauwe gnoe, Kaapse buffel, civet, krokodil, giraffe, nijlpaard, hyena, luipaard, leeuw, puku (een soort antilope, beoordeeld bijna bedreigd), savanne-olifant, tseessebe, zebra en nog veel meer meer.

De dagtrip begint vanuit Livingstone, waar gasten over de weg worden vervoerd naar Chobe National Park in Kasane Botswana.
Een Chobe-safaripakket voor de hele dag bestaande uit een cruise op de Chobe-rivier en een Game Drive in het wereldberoemde Chobe National Park. Het Chobe National Park in Botswana is de thuisbasis van een van de grootste spelconcentraties in Afrika. Het wordt begrensd door de oevers van de adembenemende Chobe-rivier en is beroemd om zijn rijke olifanten- en leeuwenpopulatie. De tour vertrekt dagelijks vanuit Livingstone, waar gasten 70 km over de weg worden overgebracht naar de grens waar hun Botswana-gids hen na immigratieprocedures zal ontmoeten. Ditzelfde visum zal het ook mogelijk maken dat degenen die naar Botswana gaan voor een dagtocht naar beide landen terugkeren zonder voor extra visumkosten te betalen. De kosten voor uni-visa zijn gekoppeld aan $ 50pp, te betalen bij de eerste inreishaven en zijn 30 dagen geldig. Wees alstublieft aangemoedigd contant geld te brengen voor de visumbetaling in het geval dat de creditcardmachines niet werken op het moment van aankomst

So worth it! The mix of land and water safari is perfect, the food and drinks were great!! The guides are very knowledgeable and know where to go to see animals!

Cherish did a phenomenal job of arranging, planning, and ensuring the day went well. I really enjoyed all of the various guides, from drivers to rangers to the boat captain. They were all informative, professional, and highly insightful. I also appreciated that the guides help you at the border (if you need to cross for Chobe), so that it was a stress-free process. We took several tours during our stay in Livingstone, Zambia and this was one of our top if not the top favorite. Both our pickup driver and tour driver were incredibly kind, informative and friendly. On our water and land tour we saw so much wildlife and we didnt once feel rushed to move along. We were able to take many photos and learn about the animals. This was a top experience for us and one we still talk about today. I cant remember the tour guides name but he was great and so was our shuttle driver Juan Guillerjuan (sp). Highly recommend.
We booked all our activities through Cherish Travel for our holiday in Zambia, August 2025 which included a trip to Chobe, fishing on the Zambezi, steam train, devils pool, horse riding and Mukuni boma. It was an excellent experience! Our guide Mwangelwa, whom we affectionately nicknamed Miguel, was an excellent professional throughout the journey. Inside the part you can see a large number of animals, and having the experience of safari with the boat allows you to see even more animals in their respective habitats. I super recommend this tour!

Great trip! Our guides were helpful. We saw so many animals, and had close up encounters with many. Both the boat tour and the game drive were exciting, and lunch was good as well. Be aware that if you don't bring water with you, you will have to pay for your beverages at lunch.
