Tijdens deze dagtour kunnen we het noordelijke deel van het eiland Chiloé bezoeken. Na 30 minuten door het Chacao-kanaal te hebben gevaren en een grote verscheidenheid aan vogels en zeeleeuwen te hebben geobserveerd, komen we aan in de stad Chacao. We gaan richting Ancud, dan gaan we 28 km naar het zuidwesten van Ancud om het natuurmonument te bezoeken. Puñihuil-eilanden is een wild gebied dat wordt beschermd door de staat, waar vissers zich hebben aangesloten bij en het toerisme hebben getransformeerd door rondleidingen, navigatiediensten en restaurants te geven. Om een kolonie Humboldt- en Magelhaense pinguïns te zien, is het noodzakelijk om een boot te nemen (navigatie niet inbegrepen) langs de kust van de Stille Oceaan. We zullen doorgaan met het verkennen van het eiland, langs een lang eenzaam strand waar we de oceaan in al zijn pracht zullen zien. Bij onze terugkeer bezoeken we de op een na meest bevolkte stad in Chiloé, de stad Ancud, waar we het plein, de markt, de ambachtsbeurs, de vrienden van de kerkenstichting en het beroemde fort van San Antonio zullen bezoeken.

Chiloe Island is off the coast of the mainland about 15 miles. The island is HUGE at 90 miles long and 45 miles wide. Once on the island all the features of the mainland with town / farm / businesses, make you think you are on the mainland. We observe a lot of the wildlife existing way south on the content. There, we board small boats via a loading contraption (keep our feet dry) to a boat located just off the beach

It was a great and very informative trip. Ingrid is super knowledgeable guide - she probably knows all the birds in that island and Orland is a super careful driver. Penguins are super great part of the trip. And churches … yes in case of any doubts Ingrid would tell you all you need to know. Fantastic experience. Our kids loved it!
Very good tour, our guide took us to Chiloe island. It started raining we took a scenic route to Andy’s. There we toured a church and a museum. The penguin tour got cancelled but we still went to the beach where we take the boat to see the Penguins and there on the rocks we did see many of them. Overall both the guide and the driver showed us a great time despite the bad weather. Thanks so much!
