Je kunt, als je wilt, zwemmen in deze prachtige heilige cenote van de Maya-cultuur en jezelf onderdompelen in het kristalheldere en verfrissende water. De cenotes, ook wel "ojos de agua" genoemd, waren erg belangrijk voor de Maya's, vanuit ceremonieel oogpunt om te overleven.
Hier krijg je een rondleiding door het Maya-ceremoniële centrum van Chichén Itzá onder begeleiding van een van onze gecertificeerde gidsen, later heb je vrije tijd om de Maya-stad op eigen houtje te verkennen.
De Tempel van de Krijgers is een van de meest indrukwekkende en belangrijke bouwwerken in Chichén Itzá. Het is misschien wel het enige bekende laat-klassieke Maya-gebouw dat groot genoeg is om echt grote bijeenkomsten te huisvesten.
Het zogenaamde Caracol of Observatorium is een constructie gebouwd in de vorm van een grotere ronde toren op een platform met een centrale trap. De basis staat op een ander rechthoekig platform, versierd met een kroonlijst met afgeronde hoeken aan de bovenkant. El Caracol is eigenlijk gebouwd met drie boven elkaar geplaatste gebouwen.
Het Castillo of Piramide van Kukulcan is een vierzijdige piramide, met daarop een rechthoekige tempel. Het fenomeen van licht en schaduw, een waardige getuigenis van de verbazingwekkende vooruitgang van de Maya's in architectuur en astronomie, is het fenomeen van "licht en schaduw" dat plaatsvindt op de noordelijke trap van het kasteel tijdens de lente-equinox, waar je een slang kunt zien afdalen de trap af De zon werpt zeven lichtdriehoeken op de balustrade aan de noordoostkant van het kasteel. Deze beginnen op en neer langs de balustrade te bewegen om het silhouet van een neerdalende slang te vormen.
We zullen een kort bezoek brengen aan het centrale plein van het prachtige pittoreske stadje Valladolid, genoemd als Pueblo Mágico vanwege het behoud van de architectuur en tradities van de lokale bevolking. *Als de lokale gezondheidsautoriteiten de afdaling niet toestaan, wordt er alleen bovenop het transport een korte stop gemaakt.

Ophaallocaties en -tijden
- U ontvangt de ophaaltijd een dag voor de tour tussen 13.00 en 14.00 uur, elk hotel heeft een andere ophaaltijd, controleer uw e-mail inclusief de SPAM folder. - Als we geen ophaalmogelijkheid hebben bij uw accommodatie, krijgt u het dichtstbijzijnde ontmoetingspunt toegewezen bij uw hotel. - De ophaaltijd wordt ingesteld op basis van uw locatie en de beschikbaarheid van de tour. - Reizigers die niet ten minste 24 uur van tevoren een hotelnaam als ophaallocatie opgeven, krijgen automatisch het ontmoetingspunt toegewezen in het Smart Cancun by Oasis Hotel. - Wij bieden geen pick-up service op een Airbnb of prive-adressen. - Tulum : Wij bieden geen hotel of Airbnb pick-up service. Het enige opstappunt is bij Super Aki Tulum, ongeacht de touroptie die je kiest.

Terrible! They cancelled my trip half day before the tour without any explanation and notification. I’ve booked the tour of Dec31 one month in advance. I asked the tour company what time to meet on Dec29 and they told me to wait until Dec 30. On Dec 30, like 1pm, i was relaxing on the beach on Isla Mujeres, i checked my email box and saw Tripadvisor’s email saying the tour was cancelled. So shocked! I contacted the company and got no response. Then i was picnic for whole day and looked for another company for Chichen Itza. They really ruined my relaxing day on Isla Mujeres. How come can they just cancel the tour not more than 24 hours before the trip and just refund with no reason and no compensation? They stated if customers cancel the trip within 24 hours before the tour, they will not refund. But they can cancel it anytime? They already confirmed the tour before. They should have compensation for cancellation. We have been waiting for the tour for Chichen Itza so much. Terrible tour operator!!

We had a great experience overall! Though it was long (about 13h from pickup to drop off, which we were prepared for) the tour guides Alfredo and Saul were friendly, very knowledgeable, and made sure everything ran smoothly throughout the day. Would definitely recommend for the price.

Went to the cenote first, had an amazing swim, the water was amazing.. we had a guided tour at Chichén itza. The buffet at the maya market was delicious plus the Mayan shop had amazing things you could buy. All purchases go towards the Mayan kids education…. Had the best churros at Valladolid. Loved this tour

It's a delight to be in front of one of the wonders of the world, a very well-preserved site surrounded by archaeological sites that aren't often mentioned but enrich the visit. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the Mayans, making this day a great experience.

We just went back from the excursion today - a full 11 hours. Our tour guide was absolutely amazing and very personable. This hit all of the cultural attractions that our family loved to explore: The pyramid, the (huge) cenote, and the ancient church. And the price here is very affordable compared to other tours out there. Muchas Gracias!

The guide Rafa was excellent and very knowledgeable. Valadolid and the Mayan experience were very interesting. A buffet lunch was included, which was nice. Chitzen Itza was great but unfortunately we had a storm which went on for the rest of the day but didn't ruin the trip. Finally we ended up at Cenote caves. We didn't swim but it was a great experience. All in all a great day trip and brilliant value.

Guided tours and meals are great, but it's hot in summer, the air conditioning isn't great, the bus is crowded, and the smell of the bathroom comes back, and shopping takes a lot of time.

It was a long travel day but worth it. The cenote was beautiful and fun. The water was warm and there’s a fun jumping point. The Mayan city felt more like a shopping center but the buffet was delicious. And love Chichén Itzá. It gets very hot but there’s lots to see. Our guides, Rodrigo and Alfredo, were awesome and had lots of knowledge and facts to share. Some areas felt rushed but I get we’re trying to see a lot in one day. Bring extra money for life jackets, locker, souvenirs, and entrance fee to Itza. Would recommend.

Chichen Itza and the tour there were very interesting and recommended. Unfortunately, we were previously smuggled through two markets, which was absolutely unnecessary and took far too much time. Lunch was modest, but okay. I recommend choosing a shorter tour to Chichen Itza or clarify beforehand whether it is also a combined shopping trip. If crafts are already offered, the process of creation should also be visible. This would be interesting for the participants and would also ensure the authenticity of the products.
