Verken de verbazingwekkende architectuur van Chicago vanuit het unieke perspectief van verhoogde treinen en perrons. Leer de geschiedenis achter het beroemde "L"-systeem en hoor hoe het de ontwikkeling van gebouwen binnen de Loop heeft gevormd. De eerste verhoogde trein van de stad begon met het maken van ritten in 1892. Nu beschouwd als een van Chicago's meest bepalende kenmerken, biedt de "L" een ongelooflijk uitzicht op de binnenstad. Door meer dan 20 voet boven de grond te zijn, zie je architectonische details die door de meeste voetgangers op straatniveau worden gemist. Dit is onze meest uitgebreide tour in de Loop, waarbij we honderden gebouwen passeren en gebouwen van architectonisch belang benadrukken. We are CAC members and have many of the tours but this Elevated Train Tour was one of the best. Our guide Steve was excellent- knowledgeable, interesting and easy to follow. It was a great combination of learning about the history of the trains along with the architecture that surrounds them. We would highly recommend it

We had a wonderful tour with Quentin. He was full of information about events leading to the elevated system. Also, so much information about the buildings surrounding the areas we covered. The admission price is reasonable. The time allowed was sufficient but we would have enjoyed even more time.
