My wife Judy and I are here celebrating our 50th anniversary. We went to a cooking class in Tuscany (which I reviewed separately). Sonny was our private van driver from Florence to the site of our class with Chief Mauro and his Assistant Gaia. Sonny was not only a safe and efficient driver, but the stories he told us about growing up in Tuscany and later seeing much the world made the hour-long journey go by in a flash. On the way back to Florence, we stopped in San Gimignano for some exceptional gelato. It broke up the trip back and we were able to stretch our legs before the remainder of the trip to Florence.
