Onze eerste stop van de dag is de charmante koffieshop DOI CHAANG Caffè Mae Suai. Loop over het terrein om je benen te strekken of een hapje te eten voordat je verder gaat naar de hoofdattractie!
Bewonder dit moderne architectonische meesterwerk, ontworpen door een gerenommeerde lokale kunstenaar. De ingewikkelde details en opvallende witte gevel maken deze tempel tot een must-see.
We nemen een pauze voor de lunch, waar u kunt genieten van heerlijke Thaise gerechten in een lokaal restaurant (op eigen kosten). Na de lunch verkennen we de Blauwe Tempel. Deze tempel staat bekend om zijn levendige blauwe tinten en serene sfeer en biedt een rustige ontsnapping en verbluffende fotomomenten.
Onze reis eindigt bij de spectaculaire Rode Tempel (Wat Huay Pla Kang). Verken de massieve 9 - gelaagde pagode, bezoek de uitgebreide heiligdommenhallen en bewonder het kolossale witte Guan Yin-beeld dat uitkijkt over de stad. Although it’s a long journey, the scenery along the way is absolutely stunning, and the coffee stop was very welcome! We loved visiting the White, Blue and Red Temples, each completely different and so beautiful. The buffet lunch was also a great opportunity to try lots of different Thai dishes. Our guide, Addi, was fantastic — really friendly, knowledgeable and even taught us a little Thai along the way! Our driver was brilliant too and made the long journey feel easy. A long day, but definitely worth it. A really memorable trip!

We had an enjoyable day on this tour. The temples were absolutely beautiful, and it was a great way to see some of Northern Thailand’s most iconic sights in one trip. Our guide, Bon, was fantastic. She was very friendly and shared interesting information about each temple we visited, which made the experience much more meaningful than just taking photos. It is a long day since Chiang Rai is around three hours from Chiang Mai, and we did experience some delays due to traffic on the way back. However, this was completely outside of the tour company’s control, and Bon kept everyone informed throughout the day. Overall, it was a great experience and definitely worth it if you want to visit the stunning temples of Chiang Ra
