Ontdek Charlotte's oudste begraafplaats! Charlotte's eerste begraafplaats waar u de laatste rustplaats vindt van helden uit de Onafhankelijkheidsoorlog, veteranen van de Burgeroorlog en afgevaardigden van het Amerikaanse Huis van Afgevaardigden.
De Latta Arcade is een overdekte winkelgalerij, gebouwd in 1914 met een atrium van twee verdiepingen met winkels en restaurants. Er is een glazen dakraam boven het atrium, dat oorspronkelijk werd gebruikt om natuurlijk licht binnen te laten voor het sorteren van katoen. Het werd in 1975 opgenomen in het National Register of Historic Places.
De kern van dit museum ligt in het verkennen van de mensen die het sociale landschap van het Zuiden hebben veranderd en vormgegeven sinds het einde van de Burgeroorlog. De tentoonstelling behandelt controversiële kwesties zoals rassenrelaties en immigratie, en biedt een forum voor discussie en contemplatie. The owner Dave was our guide. He is super knowledgeable about Charlotte from history to business to architecture; you name it. David was a warm and friendly tour guide with a wealth of information about Charlotte. As someone that runs a private members club in the tourism and hospitality industry. Lots to do if you didn’t know and very robust understanding. I went on the bus city tour instead of the walking tour. Great experience and good people. If you want to understand the city of Charlotte, North Carolina & some surrounding areas of the historical landmarks. Go on this tour.
