Hoop verder en ga met ons mee op een historische stadstour van 90 minuten door alle vier de wijken van de bovenstad van Charlotte. Onze ervaren gidsen kunnen niet wachten om je onze prachtige stad te laten zien en je alles te vertellen over de geschiedenis ervan. Verwacht historische kerken, gerechtsgebouwen, hotels, musea, theaters, huizen uit 1867 en meer te zien. Voor onze sportfans rijden we langs de Nascar Hall of Fame, het Spectrum Center (thuisbasis van de Charlotte Hornets), Bank of America Stadium (thuisbasis van de Carolina Panthers en Charlotte FC) en Truist Field (thuisbasis van de Charlotte Knights). Deze tour wordt gedaan in een verwarmde shuttlebus met airconditioning voor 13 passagiers. Tegenwoordig staat The Dunhill Hotel duidelijk in de skyline van Charlotte, een samensmelting van Amerikaanse, Britse en Italiaanse invloeden, iets wat mensen met oog voor historische details kunnen opmerken. Het huidige Dunhill Hotel werd in 1929 geopend als appartementenhotel Mayfair Manor, met de helft van de oorspronkelijke 100 kamers in permanente woningen en is een doordachte evolutie.
Geopend in 1995 en trekt jaarlijks meer dan een half miljoen bezoekers. Het werd ontworpen door Thompson, Ventulett, Stainback & Associates. Het heeft 280.000 vierkante meter aaneengesloten tentoonstellingsruimte.
Gebouwd in 1867 op 523 N. Poplar St. in de wijk Fourth Ward, is het het oudste gebouw in de bovenstad. Zoals veel huizen is er in de loop der jaren aangebouwd en verbouwd. Het blijft bezet.
Het Carolina Theatre in Charlotte, North Carolina, is een historisch filmhuis dat momenteel wordt gerestaureerd tot een centrum voor podiumkunsten en een openbare ontmoetingsruimte. Het theater is eigendom van de non-profit Foundation For The Carolinas.

This was an excellent tour! Our driver was fun, personable, and incredibly engaging. He shared fascinating stories about his life, his fiancée, and his diverse career experiences, making the tour both entertaining and memorable. His knowledge of Charlotte, North Carolina, was impressive, and it was clear that he genuinely loves the city. His enthusiasm and storytelling made the experience even more enjoyable. Too bad it was rained about the first half of the tour. Highly recommended!

It was the perfect tour for my family, visiting from California and Canada! There were 10 of us on a 13 seater bus, it was very comfortable! Danny our guide was very cheerful and knowledgeable about the history and character of each building or site ! I highly recommend it, I wouldn't have known those sites, ( having lived in Charlotte for 3 years), if it's not for the very informative tour. Thank you!
