Maak je klaar voor een spannende avond vol geschiedenis, spoken en hop terwijl we de niet zo heilige kant van Charleston verkennen. Onze spookachtige route kan van tijd tot tijd enigszins verschuiven – sommige pubstops kunnen veranderen afhankelijk van hoe druk de bars zijn. Maak je geen zorgen! The Griffon Pub is gevestigd in een eeuwenoud bakstenen gebouw met krakende vloeren en flikkerende lantaarns en vormt de perfecte sfeer voor een nacht vol spookachtige ontdekkingstochten. Bekend om zijn vintage charme en spookachtige legendes, wordt gezegd dat sommige klanten nooit echt vertrekken. Pak een drankje, verzamel je moed en bereid je voor om in de schaduw te stappen – onze spookachtige kroegentocht begint hier.
Bij deze halte bespreek je de spookachtige geschiedenis van een van de meest spookachtige gebouwen van Charleston, The Old Exchange en Provost Dungeon.

The Haunted Pub Crawl was fun, informative and interactive. Our group got to know each other well and really enjoyed our time together. Justin was an outstanding guide.

I’ve done ghost tours in Seattle and New Orleans, so I had high hopes for this one. I’m glad we went, but overall it was just okay. The tour leaned much more toward Charleston history than ghost stories. The history was interesting and we definitely learned a lot, but I would have liked more spooky storytelling. The Edgar Allan Poe story was the highlight for me and exactly the kind of thing I was hoping for more of. Our guide was very knowledgeable, but his delivery was a little subdued and could have used more enthusiasm. The “pub crawl” portion was the biggest miss. We only visited two pubs, and there didn’t seem to be any arrangement with the bars to help the group order quickly. Both times, it took so long to get a drink that by the time we had it, we were basically being told to meet back outside. Overall, interesting history, but I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re looking for a really spooky ghost tour or a true pub crawl experience.

My first haunted pub crawl. We had a good time and had plenty of stops and time to have a drink while there. We walked through the old town area and had stops along the way besides the pubs that explained what happened in certain sights and who was still haunting there. Very entertaining. I just feel sorry for our wonderful guide who ended up more like a cat herder rather than a guide as the night wore on and more pubs were visited and drinks consumed. He was a good sport.

We attended the pub crawl on Halloween and were disappointed with the experience. The guide informed us at the start that we wouldn’t be visiting any of the bars advertised because they were too busy on Halloween. Instead, we went to one bar, one restaurant/bar, and a booze pop van. If we had known in advance that the advertised stops wouldn’t be included, we would have made other plans.
