Beginnend in de buurt van het historische William Aiken House, beginnen we de ochtend met een boterachtige, handgemaakte Hot Little Biscuit. Terwijl we naar Marion Square wandelen, duiken we in de ziel van Lowcountry cooking met knapperige Fried Green Tomatoes. Wandelend door de Mazyck-Boragard buurt, proeven we een zoete en hartige Croffle met Fried Chicken en lokale honing. We genieten ook van romige Garnalen & Grits en Pimento Cheese, de 'Kaviaar van het Zuiden'. Voordat we eindigen in de buurt van het Aiken-Rhett House Museum, onthullen we onze ongelooflijke Secret Dish – een warme, nostalgische delicatesse met een unieke lokale twist!

King Street is meer dan 300 jaar oud en staat bekend als de op een na meest historische straat in Charleston. Meeting Street loopt voorop op dit gebied
Het huis wordt beschouwd als het best bewaarde complex van vooroorlogse woonstructuren in Charleston. Het was het huis van William Aiken, Jr., een gouverneur van South Carolina, en daarvoor het huis van zijn vader, de eigenaar van South Carolina Canal and Railroad Company, William Aiken.
Geopend in 1942 als het belangrijkste filmhuis van Charleston, maken de vorstelijke Art Deco-architectuur van het American Theatre en de tijdloze Hollywood-glamour deze verfijnde evenementenlocatie rode lopers en oogverblindende feesttenten waardig.
De Charleston Music Hall, historisch bekend als The Tower Depot, werd in 1849-50 gebouwd als passagiersstation van de South Carolina Railroad en werd ontworpen door Charleston-architect Edward C. Jones.

Hotel Bennett werd geopend op 27 januari 2019. Er werd 20 jaar aan de bouw gewerkt. In maart 2015 brak de grond en het duurde 47 maanden om te bouwen. Het hotel is zo ontworpen dat het voelt alsof de oorsprong teruggaat tot de 18e eeuw. Veel van de historische huizen van Charleston werden gebruikt als ontwerpreferenties.
De derde brandweerkazerne die na de aardbeving van 1886 werd gebouwd, was een nieuwe kazerne 6. Deze verving de voormalige Marion Steam Fire Engine Company iets verderop.
