Deze wandeling geeft je een uitstekend overzicht van Rio door te bladeren door het historische centrum waar barokke kerken, koloniale gebouwen en moderne gebouwen worden gecombineerd, omdat het ook het zakelijke centrum van Rio is, evenals de wijk Boheemse Santa Teresa door erbij te komen via de beroemde gele tram en vervolgens in je eigen tempo rond te dwalen.

Presentatie van het plein met zijn belangrijkste bezienswaardigheden, zoals het Teatro Municipal (de opera van Rio), het Museu das Bellas Artes, La Camara Municipal, La Biblioteca Nacional, Le Teatro Odeon (de enige bioscoop op het plein die nog in gebruik is)

We vervolgen onze rit om aan te komen op 15 november (proclamatie van de Republiek) om u de Onze-Lieve-Vrouwekerk van de Karmelieten, de Paço Imperial, het ruiterstandbeeld van generaal Osorio, het belastingeiland en de veerbootpier voor het eiland Niteroi en Paqueta in de baai van Guanabara
We bereiken vervolgens Pie X-plein bij de voetgangersstraten om u de Candélaria-kerk, de Olympische boulevard, de CentrO Cultural do Banco do Brasil en de casa França Brasil te laten zien
En we vervolgen onze wandeling naar het klooster van Saint Benoit, een van de mooiste kerken in Rio om het te bezoeken en je de geschiedenis te vertellen.
Dit plein is een belangrijke culturele plaats omdat er het Museu de Amanha (museum van morgen) is dat we niet bezoeken, maar dat architectonisch zeer interessant is, evenals het kunstmuseum van Rio met zijn panoramische terras op de bovenste verdieping die geeft je een ongelooflijk uitzicht op Place Maua, de Niteroi-brug, het Museum van Morgen ...
Deze muurschildering, die wordt beschouwd als de grootste ter wereld, vertegenwoordigt 5 etnische groepen en werd geproduceerd door Eduardo Kobra voor de Olympische Spelen
We gaan dan terug naar het Santa Teresa Tramstation om de beroemde gele Bonde (tram) te nemen om naar het Santa Teresa district te gaan. Het is een panoramische wandeling van dertig minuten vol charme.
Wandel te voet en rond Largo dos Guimaraes in het hart van Santa Teresa om zijn huizen te ontdekken vanaf het einde van de XIXe, begin van de XXe, mooie uitzichten, restaurants en bars die deze wijk ook beroemd maken.
Het iconische punt van Santa Teresa, het voormalige huis van Laurinda Santos Lobo getransformeerd in een prieel met een ongelooflijk uitzicht op het Centro, de bogen van Lapa, Christus en Botafogo
We verlaten Santa Teresa om naar Lapa te gaan aan de voet van de heuvel en passeren de beroemde veelkleurige trap van George Selaron, Chileense kunstenaar die hem in ongeveer twintig jaar heeft gemaakt.
We blijven wandelen terwijl we de vele graffiti bewonderen die de muren van dit district sieren om de bogen van Lapa te bereiken, het oude aquaduct van Rio daterend uit de XVIII en water levert aan de stad Rio tot het einde van de XIX. De tram rijdt vanaf het aquaduct naar Santa Teresa

To organize our stay in Rio de Janeiro as part of a first discovery of Brazil of 15 days, we went through the agency Good Guide in Rio. We made 3 days of visits with this agency. Our guide Philippe was great, he really wants to please his visitors. It adapts to demands and desires. It is interesting to take 2/3 days of visit in order to adapt to the weather (it happened to us) Philip changed our visit to Christ to ensure good weather..... We discovered Marta’s favela with Marco with great kindness and a big smile. Behind the scenes of the carnival are also a great visit. The last day in Petropolis is a change of scenery advised on Sunday. We recommend this agency to the top!!!!

We took a tour of the Centro district with Edmundo Montalvo, and it was absolutely fantastic! He is maybe the best guide we’ve ever had. So knowledgeable, intelligent, took us to see everything, including the cathedral, the famous steps, the trolley up to Santa Teresa, and more. Very sensitive and informative. We also had coffee at the oldest coffee house in Rio. I strongly recommend that you try to take a tour with Edmundo Montalba, whether it is the central tour or one of the other ones he does. He is really great!
