Tijdens deze tour van een halve dag naar de Grotten van Drach: de beste grotten van Mallorca, beleef je een unieke ervaring terwijl je wordt meegenomen op een roeiboot op het prachtige meer van Martel, inclusief een klassiek muziekconcert van de Grotten van Drach.

Op weg naar de Grotten passeren we het charmante stadje Montuïri, bekend om zijn iconische windmolens. Montuïri is historisch verbonden met de graan- en meelproductie en weerspiegelt het rijke culturele erfgoed en de landelijke tradities van het binnenland van Mallorca.
We komen nu bij de beroemde "Cuevas del Drach", of "Dragon Caves", een ondergronds wonder miljoenen jaren in de maak. Deze grotten fascineren historici, geografen en reizigers al generaties lang. Dankzij je vooraf geboekte ticket sla je de wachtrij over en ga je meteen de ervaring in. Je hebt ongeveer 1 uur en 30 minuten de tijd om de grotten in je eigen tempo te verkennen en volop te genieten van dit natuurwonder.
Binnen in de grotten volgt u een zelfstandige route die u langs spectaculaire rotsformaties leidt, allemaal prachtig verlicht om hun natuurlijke schoonheid te benadrukken. De tour culmineert bij Lake Martel, een van de grootste ondergrondse meren ter wereld. Hier kunt u genieten van een kort live concert met klassieke muziek in een werkelijk magische omgeving. Na afloop heb je de mogelijkheid om een korte maar gedenkwaardige houten boottocht over het meer te maken — een uniek en schilderachtig moment inbegrepen in je tour. U zult ook getuige zijn van een subtiele lichtshow die een zonsopgang simuleert, wat bijdraagt aan de magie van het bezoek.

We booked a wonderful trip to the Cuevas Del Drach through nofrills excursions. We were collected a 5 min walk from our hotel which was very convenient. Although the journey was long it was well worth it!! The caves were stunning, so much to look at throughout. At the end of the tour you are seated for an amazing concert performed by an orchestra on boats. All in drakknes with just the boats lit up. It was absolutely breathtaking. You can then travel across the lake by boat (or on foot if you prefer) There is a lovely gift shop with lots souvenirs as well as places to eat and drink. Our tour guide Yvette from nofrills excursions was brilliant and very knowledge giving us information throughout the journey. She was well organised and really looked after everyone. Would highly recommend taking a trip here to see one of the amazing wonders of the world!
An interesting short trip to the Drach caves with a wonderful concert. The coach trip from Palma took around one hour, then one hour in the caves including concert and one hour to explore nearby Porto Cristo. Our guide Ester was excellent, very organised and informative. The air conditioned coach and lower temperature within the caves makes this a cool day out!

Caves are quite large with well defined paths. The music portion was phenomenal. The boat ride is very short, so I don't recommend standing in line for any length of time, it's maybe a 15-20 second ride, and drops you off along the walking path with everyone else.

We booked directly with NoFrills on their web site. I confirmed our exact pickup location with them two days prior to our tour, even sending them a Google map pin. We arrived 15 minutes before the designated pickup time (scheduled for 8:45, we were there at 8:30). We saw one of their buses go by, with the logo and the destination on a sign, in the opposite direction of our tour, but that bus did not stop anywhere near us. Finally, 25 minutes after our scheduled pickup time, I messaged the operator on WhatsApp and they said the bus had already stopped for us and left. That was absolutely not the case, as we closely examined every bus that stopped at our location. They offered us tickets for the next day, but that did not work for us, so to their credit, they agreed to give us a refund. But it was very disappointing to miss the tour. Sorry to leave a bad review, but the pickup experience is an essential part of the tour. There needs to be more care taken to make sure your customers get picked up as promised.
We are genuinely surprised by this review, particularly considering how we handled the situation. That morning, **two of our coaches stopped at the confirmed pick-up point**, and the coach operating your Caves of Drach excursion collected **8 other passengers from exactly that location**. Therefore, it is very difficult for us to understand how you could have been waiting at the correct point, carefully checking every coach, while the other passengers were collected normally. Under these circumstances, the standard procedure would have been to record the booking as a **no-show**, which normally carries no right to a refund. Instead, we chose to help. We first offered to move your booking **free of charge to the following day**. When you explained that this was not possible for you, we went even further and exceptionally agreed to provide a **full refund**, despite the coach having operated and stopped at the confirmed location. We did this as a gesture of goodwill because we understood how disappointing it was for you to miss the excursion. It is therefore particularly disappointing to receive a 1-star review accusing us of failing to collect you after we had already gone considerably beyond our obligations to resolve the situation in your favour. Sometimes being exceptionally flexible with a customer is clearly not appreciated. In this case, we believe the facts speak for themselves.
A MUST DO EXPERIENCE! This was my favorite part of our trip to Palma de Mallorca. It was so incredible and unique. It is very well organized and smooth. Our tour guide was so special and charismatic. The concert in the cave was so beautiful, it made me emotional. You must go visit the Caves of Drach and take a tour.

It's an interesting walk through amazing natural sculptures. Although they say to bring warm clothing down in there, for me that was nonsense. It was very hot during our stay here and while it was cooler in the caves it remained fairly humid so if you're someone like me who sweats a lot, I'd bring some kind of a towel personal fan or bandanna soaked in water .

We would just like to clarify one point for future visitors: **we do not advise guests to bring warm clothing for the caves**. This recommendation may have come from another website or travel blog. In our information, we explain that the temperature inside the caves remains relatively stable throughout the year, at approximately **18–21°C**. During Mallorca's very hot summer months, the caves certainly feel cooler than outside, but humidity can make them feel warmer than some visitors expect. Your suggestion of bringing a small towel or personal fan may therefore be useful for guests particularly sensitive to humidity. Beware that No Frills is a chaotic pick up experience. Names are in a list, but some participants are loaded onto a bus while others are told to wait. A second bus didn't communicate with the first. 10 of us were denied boarding because there wasn't enough room after standing in the blazing sun for an hour. The operator apologized, but gave us no concrete assistance to resolve the problem except to contact the company (Trip Advisor) where we booked. I requested a full refund online, but more importantly our day's plan was ruined. When they call themselves "No Frills", they're not kidding.
Very pleasant and magnificent. We enjoyed the concert and the short boat ride. Our 3-year-old son enjoyed it too (it might scare some because when the concert starts everything is dark and the boats are illuminated, which is very beautiful). Plus, it's cool in there ;-)))

Bus was clean and guide Esther and Driver Juan were excellent. Only negative is instructions and tour operator instructions hard to follow app and chat gave different directions on meeting point and very little info where to park and meet but figured it out by asking so many questions
