Ontdek Monserrate, Gelegen op 3.152 meter hoogte in de Cerros Orientales, is Monserrate de meest bezochte heilige plaats in Bogotá, die verantwoordelijk is voor het bewaken van de stad. I had a wonderful tour with my wonderful guide Brenda, and the driver, Berto! She speaks perfect English and was very easy to understand and talk to. She was good at explaining the area and answering questions. She made sure to give me plenty of time at each destination, which was very important to me since this was my only day in Columbia. She picked me up from my hotel on time and led me to a great place for lunch. I was traveling solo, and Brenda was kind and friendly the whole day, and I would recommend anyone ask for her when booking this tour. Berto was a safe driver too! I really enjoyed this tour, and hope everyone coming to Bogota gets to do it. This tour is especially good because it allows you to see both the salt cathedral and Monserrate in the same day, which others do not. Thank you, Brenda, for a marvelous 5-star experience!

We spent a nice day in the company of Esteban, the guide, and Enrique, the driver and were taken all over Bogotá to get to know the city and the surrounding area. The day started early, at 8:00am, because we would go to visit the salt cathedral which is not far away but there is a lot of traffic in the city. We loved the experience of visiting this cathedral, not for the religious side but for the originality of making a church inside a salt mine. Then we had a typical Colombian lunch with chicken soup and a dish with meat and vegetables, we went to the Botero museum and the Gold museum (which was my favorite), we visited the central square of Bogotá and Monserrate, where the view of the city was majestic. The afternoon was beautiful and we really enjoyed being upstairs.

We spent a wonderful day visiting first the salt cathedral of Zipaquira and then Monserrate and Candelaria. Our guide Esteban and driver Pedro were very kind, competent and professional. I recommend this to tours with flying colors especially to those who have little time to visit Bogota because it allows you to see the main things in a single day! Obviously if you also have another half day or more available you can deepen the walking visit to the center even independently.

Camilla was a great guide and each site was fabulous. We were especially impressed with her guiding us through the wonderful Botero Museum. She is so knowledgeable and enthusiastic.
