De Halászbástya of Fisherman's Bastion is een van de bekendste monumenten in Boedapest, gelegen in het Buda-kasteel, in het 1e district van Boedapest. Het is een van de belangrijkste toeristische attracties vanwege het unieke panorama van Boedapest vanaf de neoromaanse uitkijkterrassen.
Buda Castle (Hongaars: Budavári Palota, Duits: Burgpalast) is het historische kasteel- en paleiscomplex van de Hongaarse koningen in Boedapest. De kabelbaan van de Burchtheuvel van Boedapest of Budavári Sikló is een kabelbaan in de stad Boedapest, in Hongarije. Het verbindt het Adam Clark-plein en de Széchenyi-kettingbrug op rivierniveau met het Boeda-kasteel hierboven.

Matthias Fountain (Hongaars: Mátyás kútja, Duits: König Mathias Brunnen) is een monumentale fonteingroep op het westelijke voorplein van het kasteel Buda, Boedapest. Het neo-barokke meesterwerk van Alajos Stróbl is een van de meest gefotografeerde herkenningspunten in de Hongaarse hoofdstad. Het wordt soms de ‘Trevifontein van Boedapest’ genoemd.

Zoltan was very friendly and knowledgeable about the city, and gave us some valuable insights about the city and its history. We enjoyed seeing all of the historical buildings and learning more about them. We also learned a lot about the people, their history and life in Budapest today. Highly recommend this tour. The tour length was perfect for what we wanted to see.
Karoly was a great guide. He was very knowledgeable about the city and its history. We wanted to see a few sites that were not on the original agenda. He was completely accommodating. He also suggested we might be interested in some Roman ruins. Hadn’t run across that in any of the on-line things to do. Plus to get here we got to take trams and the metro as an added plus. All in all a great day and a great guide!
Our guide Ferenc was fantastic! Lots of historical, cultural and current information. He was very accommodating and kind for someone with some mobility issues.

This by far was the best tour we booked! I was expecting the generic touristy type of tour but Ferenc made the tour so special. From his deep historical knowledge to incorporating it into how it shaped their culture and even political views today! My husband and I heavily recommend this tour to anyone. And the coffee and cake location was on the tourist trail, but it was definitely charming and authentic. If you book this tour, I recommend asking for Ferenc. Honestly just the highlight of our vacation!
Not sure if others cancelled but my husband & I had our guide all to ourselves! We saw all the key locations on castle hill and our guide explained everything to a T. It was a long time ago (May 2018) and I can’t remember our guide’s name. But she was outstanding. It was a great introduction to Budapest and a great pre-cruise day!
