Canyoning Skurda River - Extreem avontuur in Kotor City

Je gaat een van de meest interessante adrenaline-attracties in Montenegro verkennen. Canyon Skurda ligt verborgen op een plek die niemand zou verwachten. De tour begint vanuit de oude binnenstad van Kotor, net achter de muren van Kotor. In het begin zou je 1 uur moeten wandelen om op de startpositie voor canyoning te komen. Wij passen uw uitrusting aan en bereiden u voor op avontuur. In de kloof kun je in spectaculaire vormen genieten van rotswanden en watervallen tot wel 25 meter hoog. Canyon heeft veel uitdagingen, zoals het oversteken van gladde rotsen, naar de poelen springen of langs het touw abseilen. Canyon is het grootste deel van de tijd beschikbaar voor passeren. In de zomer blijft het water alleen in de poelen, maar in de rest van het jaar zijn er grote watervallen. Het water in de zwembaden is in de zomer niet erg koud, dus je hebt alleen lichte kleding nodig, maar als het veel water is, geven we je een neopreenpak. De tocht door de kloof duurt ongeveer 3 uur en eindigt net achter de oude binnenstad van Kotor. Dit zou een onvergetelijk avontuur zijn.

There were no waterfalls when we went in mid June, just some pools full of frogs which we had to climb around - part of the adventure. Our guide was great! She gave clear instructions and took several photos for us. The hike was very hot at midday, but we had water and took breaks. The rappelling was much better in the shade of the canyon. We did several routes with a few in particular that were amazing and made for some great photos. It was an active and unique experience from the usual cruise excursions and still left us time to walk the old city Kotor.
Our family had the best time canyoning with Ivana and Marco. They made us feel incredibly safe! It was the favorite thing we did on our vacation. We can't recommend this activity with them enough! Totally worth it!

This experience was incredible! Our canyoning guides were so friendly and helpful and made sure everyone was safe. Me and my husband had so much fun, and it was the highlight of our trip. The scenery was breathtaking and abseiling over waterfalls was an experience you wont forget! Recommend this experience for those who love an adventure and are happy with heights and a good level of fitness for the walking. Unforgettable!
We were contacted by one of the guides a day earlier and got more detailed information again. It is important to wear good shoes in any case, as you have to hike for about 50min and also climb before you even reach the canyon. You don’t have to carry any bags or similar, the guides have backpacks with food (water+cereal bars) and also take photos of you. Our guides today were Ivana and Milija, both mega nice. Attention was also always paid to slower group members and breaks were made.
It was amazing! Ivana was very patient with us and very kind. It was an adventure that we would like to do again. Due to the dry season we didnt had water. But even without it we had alot of fun! Seeing the Canyon was woth it! Thank you untill nextime!

This was by far our families favorite excursion of our cruise! Ivana and Vlado were fantastic guides! They were so kind as we had one adult who just found out she was pregnant and had a hard time hiking in the heat! They were so kind and patient. They took their time with us and gave us an amazing experience as a family. We got done early enough to walk through the old city and enjoy dinner before getting back on the cruise ship. We are planning a return trip to Montenegro to stay longer because we loved it there so much and loved canyoneering with Ivana and Vlado!! This is a must do!!

Outstanding experience! Both guides were amazing! Our first time with this type of adventure and they did not disappoint. They were very helpful the entire time. Safety was utmost concern at all times. If you’re in Kotor you should consider this if you like outdoors and adventure. Thank you for an amazing trip.
My husband and I love canyoning. We have done several of varying difficulty. Some with the family and others (more difficult) just the two of us. This canyoning excursion is definitely for someone with sure feet for the 45 minute hike. It's a great hike and you do need to have some stamina. The canyon itself was mostly dry when we went in July and the small pools were gross and filled with adorable frogs :) so we avoided going in. There were seven abseils I think and two or three of them were several stories high. If you are not comfortable abseiling and with heights, this might not be for you. All that to preface, Ivana was an amazing guide. We were just the two of us so we moved rather quickly but she set up every abseil just as she would with a larger group. She was patient, gave clear instruction, she took great photos and sent them after, and she was quite adept. I highly recommend booking with her both during the wet season and the dry. Different experience but no less fun when it was dry. On a side note: I originally messaged a different company and they didn't offer the trip during the dry season. Instead of just telling me, "no, sorry," they forwarded me Ivanas's what's app number. The comradery and respect within this community in Montenegro is simply amazing.
It was a great experience for us as a family. The way to the gorge was a bit difficult in parts, as we had to descend over stony slopes. Ivana and her partner were very eager to give us valuable hints so that everyone arrived safely to their destination. It was very impressive and we liked it very much.
