Campesino-boerderijtour door Costa Rica

Beschrijving

We went with a group of teens, and we all had a great time. Our guide was friendly, fun, and informative. From learning about the history of coffee, to touring the grounds to tasting new fruits, to making sugar cane juice, we all had a wonderful time. We ended with a "home-cooked dinner" that was plentiful and delicious. I highly recommend adding the Farm to your tour.
This farm tour was truly exceptional. The family welcomed us into their home and gave us an inside look at how they live off the land, using every part of their farm with so much care and intention. We ate fresh plants, made chocolate, milked a cow, tried several delicious natural juices, enjoyed a home-cooked meal, and my absolute favorite — tasted real sugar cane! It was incredibly educational, and our whole family loved every moment. The guide had a wonderful relationship with the family, and it was clear how deeply they care for their animals, their land, and their way of life. We felt so grateful to experience something so authentic and heartfelt. Highly recommend!
Thoroughly enjoyed the farm visit what a lovely family . Lots of animals ,tasted a lot of organic food whilst walking around. The hosts made us very tasty food . Experience we will never forget
It is an amazing experience. The whole family are very knowledgeable and friendly. They make you feel at home and show you how to make chocolate , sugar cane juice , talk about coffee and the meal is amazing. Don Juan and his son and family are so proud of what they do that you feel so blessed to be in their farm. The animals are taken care very good. The experience milking a cow was the best along with feeding the animals. In general this is an experience that everybody should do. Thank you Don Juan and family.
We loved this experience...even in the rain. We all learned so much and the hands-on nature of it all was so amazing. Our kids loved it, as did we.
Awesome experience at the farm. Family friendly and fun activities for all ages. The food and drinks are delicious. Highly recommend!
We had a Compesino Farm Tour, Sloth Tour, and Hot Tub with Dinner adventure with EcoTerra. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about the plants growing in this farm and was able to share details that the farmers explained on their culinary and medicinal qualities. Got to say hi to the farm animals (i was missing mine), milk a cow, feed a goat. Tried juicing cane sugar and then drinking it with lemon and ginger. Watched the demonstration on fermented cane sugar. Made chocolate balls. Had a wonderful fresh, delicious lunch. Purchased some chocolate and coffee. To the sloth tour - on a managed farm area - very natural and safe appearing (not like a zoo) for the sloths. The site locates the sloths every day and leaves a flag. One of the flags we didnt see a sloth but we explored and then found it and the sloth was moving between trees. It was very magical to watch since most of the sloths were sleeping during the day. We had some time to return to our hotel to change and get ready for the hot springs (which was nice) The Ecotermes hot springs were very fancy and the dinner good. The shuttle picked us up and dropped us back off at our hotel at the end of the day. I really appreciate how dedicated our tour guide was to the health of the environment and animals - she was very friendly and informative.
I always take my friends and family to this small family operation when they visit me and they always say that it is one of their favorite memories from their trip. The tour introduces you to organic farming practices and different types of plants and their uses. Hands on activities include milking a cow and extracting juice from sugar cane. The tour concludes with a home cooked lunch.
This was such a special treat! We did so many things we have never done before, and may never do again! We milked cows, and then fed the fresh milk to a goat. We chewed on sugarcane and helped process the sugarcane to juice for us to drink! We met the lovely family who owned the farm, and they were so informative and hospitable! We learned about the process of making moonshine. Plus, we got to taste it! We ground our own cacao and made our own chocolate and then had a fresh farm lunch (with our own hand shaped tortilla)! Truly an amazing one of a kind experience! Highly recommend this tour and Guillermo as your guide!
I think everyone should experience the farm life of a Costa Rican. It was fun learning to milk a cow. Our guide, Jasmine was enthusiastic.
