Cachi en Los Cardones Nationaal Park vanuit Salta

Deze 12-uur durende excursie begint in de Lerma-vallei en neemt je vervolgens mee op een rit naar El Carril en gaat verder naar Chicoana. Bewonder de opvallende schoonheid van de kloven die bekend staan als Quebrada de los Laureles en Quebrada de Escoipe. Rijd langs de Cuesta del Obispo, op een weg met veel bochten. Geniet van een panoramisch uitzicht op de betoverde vallei en kleine huizen omgeven door velden met maïs en fruitbomen. Tegen de tijd dat je de Piedra del Molino bereikt, ben je 3.384 meter boven de zeespiegel, het hoogste punt van de reis. Wanneer je aankomt in Cachi, heb je een adembenemend uitzicht op Nevado de Cachi en Payogasta. In de stad Cachi stop je om het archeologisch museum en de kerk te bezoeken.

Reisroute
Begin uw rondreis met een ophaalservice vanaf uw centraal gelegen Salta-hotel om ongeveer 07:30 uur.
Ga vervolgens naar de Lerma-vallei en reis totdat je door El Carril loopt.
Zodra u El Carril passeert, gaat u verder naar Chicoana. Ga vervolgens de Quebrada de los Laureles in, ook bekend als The Laurel's Gorge.
Ga vervolgens naar de Quebrada de Escoipe, de Escoipe-kloof.
Ga verder met de tour en arriveer bij de Maray die de Bishop's Cliff-weg binnengaat en reis door de overvloedige bochten, onderweg genietend van een panoramisch uitzicht op de Enchanted Valley. Zodra u Piedra del Molino, de steen van de molen, bereikt, heeft u 3384 meter boven de zeespiegel bereikt.
Later wordt het Los Candones National Park doorkruist door de rechte lijn van Tin Tin, de oude door Inca's aangelegde weg.
Kom in ieder geval in Cachi aan en geniet van de weidse uitzichten op de Nevado de Cachi en Payogasta. Baan je een weg naar de stad om het Archeologisch Museum en de kerk te bezoeken.

If you are hesitant because of the duration... it's worth. The journey is the experience and not the destination. If you are afraid of heights, as I am, dont worry about it. With someone else driving you get to experience the beauty of the valley below. These aren't European or USA mountains with terrifying cliff edges. Our guide Santiago was great. It was a great day overall.

I wish we could give a higher rating, because I think the tour guide tried hard to make this a good day out. However, the tour was sold as being in English as well as Spanish, and our driver/guide didn’t have any English at all. I have a little bit of Spanish so I managed to understand some, but it was difficult for me because I’m not fluent and I spent all day trying to understand quickly enough to translate for my partner. There were four of us on the tour, in a 4x4 where I was sat in the middle of the back seat. It was not very comfortable for me because I was squashed against a man I did not know for a long drive. There is some beautiful scenery, and I’m sure the driver/guide gave some interesting information if you are fluent in Spanish. I don’t have a problem with people not speaking English - but they should advertise and sell tickets as a Spanish tour in that case, so it is honestly advertised. Then we would have known to book with another tour company instead.

We went by car, alternating stretches of road in good condition and some really terrible ones. And don't confuse gravel, dirt (things I love) with routes completely pocked with saws and without signage. The views on the trip are not great (nothing to do with the trip to Cafayate). We arrived in Cachi at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday and literally EVERYTHING closed. The craft fair closes at 3:00 p.m., nothing to eat, just a cafeteria and an open ice cream parlor. To highlight, in the cafeteria they did not want to sell us water for the thermos (I don't have any, said the manager ha). I would not return, for us a lost day.

A very good experience was traveling to Cachi... The little town is dreamlike and the mountain road is very beautiful... You reach a height of 3,458 meters above sea level in Piedra del Molino, with some of the most beautiful landscapes... attention to those who sign up... Highly recommended....
We had a lovely experience!! Our tour guide was wonderful, the views were spectacular, and the bus was very comfortable! It’s a lot of time on the bus but seems like the best way to see all of these places in one go! Definitely recommend.
