Kies tussen safariopties van een halve dag in de ochtend of 's avonds, of selecteer een safari-avontuur van een hele dag. Je ontdekt dit fascinerende biosfeerreservaat van de UNESCO aan boord van een privé-safari-jeep en ontdekt zijn unieke zoutwaterlagunes en talrijke soorten dieren in het wild. Houd je ogen open terwijl je rijdt, want je weet nooit wat voor soort dier je tegen kunt komen. Kuddes olifanten dwalen door het park, samen met pangolins, blaffende herten, roestig gespikkelde katten, jakhalzen, wilde zwijnen, langoeren, krokodillen, slangen en schildpadden, onder anderen. Vogelliefhebbers zijn in voor een speciale traktatie, dankzij de collectie van het park van meer dan 200 verschillende vogelsoorten. Grotere flamingo's zijn een hoogtepunt, samen met aalscholvers, de Euraziatische meerkoeten, ooievaars, eenden en lepelaars. Bezoekers die de avondsafari selecteren, worden ook getrakteerd op een spectaculaire zonsondergang bij het bekijken van hun dieren in het wild. Aan het einde van uw excursie keert u terug naar de hoofdingang van het park of naar uw hotel.

A jeep tour through the Bundala is a good alternative from Tissamaharama if Yala is too crowded again. However, you won't see any leopards here. When I was here there was mostly magical scenery with incredible views over the coast, lots of crocodiles, jackals, a Fishing Cat, countless birds and an elephant from afar.
Brilliant safari with our guide Sakun. Very friendly and knowledgable. We were lucky to see elephants and jackal as well as all the amazing birds. So beautiful and peaceful. Thank you!
I recently visited Bundala National Park on Safari with Shehan safaris. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. We saw lots of crocodiles, monkeys, water buffalo, peacocks, turtles and many other species of birds. The park is also home to a herd of elephants but we were unable to find them that day. I would highly recommend a safari with Sheehan safaris, they have excellent driver/guides! Contact them via email.
Half day afternoon tour in Bundala with Sakun - it was awesome! Such a calm and beautiful park, a great antidote to the craziness of Yala. We saw loads of birds, monkeys, crocodiles and a couple of elephants. Sakun was really friendly and helpful, great at spotting animals - he obviously has a genuine interest in the animals, despite having been there many times before he was taking pictures himself of the animals! Great information on the animals and naming them for us. We definitely recommend Sakun for your safari!
We did the afternoon safari in the park and had such a great time. Our guide Yasanka had such a good eye he literally spotted every animal - no matter how far it was away. He showed us through the whole park in a quite new and super comfortable jeep and the best thing was: it wasn’t as busy as in the other parks. He also took us to the beach side, we saw crocodiles, monkeys, elephants, birds, peacocks and had a lot of fun. He also offered to take pictures of me and my friend which was great. At the end he brought us to a place where we could have dinner and dropped us off at the hotel again. So friendly - totally recommend !
