We zien Brooklyn Bridge, Brooklyn Heights, Brooklyn Bridge Park en het magazijndistrict DUMBO. Na een korte rondleiding door het stadhuis, rollen we over de Brooklyn Bridge met stops voor de perfecte foto's van de prachtige skyline van Wall Street. Terwijl ik daar ben, zal ik historische inzichten delen in de tweelingiconen van de East River in New York City: de Manhattan en Brooklyn Bridges. We gaan verder naar de charmante brownstone straten van Brooklyn. Na een stop bij de prachtige Promenade, zoeven we door NYC's nieuwste, meest innovatieve en prachtige 85 hectare grote speeltuin aan het water, het Brooklyn Bridge Park (net geopend in 2010). Er zullen tal van stops en foto's zijn in de shabby-chique verzend- en magazijndistricten van DUMBO, Vinegar Hill en de Brooklyn Navy Yard. Je krijgt een kijkje in de geschiedenis van de scheepvaartindustrie in Brooklyn die ooit bloeide in deze dokken en geplaveide straten.

Historisch park waar generaal George Washington de Onafhankelijkheidsverklaring las, omringd door het stadhuis, het gemeentelijk gebouw, het tweed-gerechtsgebouw, het Woolworth-gebouw en andere iconen van de stad.
Het meesterwerk van John Augustus Roebling combineert techniek en kunst. We rijden met veel tussenstops voor foto's van de skylines in Manhattan en Brooklyn.
In Brooklyn Heights vinden we elegante 19e-eeuwse brownstones in rustige, met bomen omzoomde straten. Ontdek waarom Matt Damon, Paul Giamatti en Emily Blunt en John Krasinski van deze buurt hun thuis maakten.
De Promenade van Brooklyn Heights is geen enkele, de beste plek in New York City om de torenhoge skyline van de torens van Wall Street te waarderen. We zullen hier stoppen.
Het nieuwste park van NYC bevindt zich onder de brug. Dit 85 hectare grote park is geopend in 2010 en is nog maar net klaar. Het is een postindustrieel herbestemming van zes verlaten commerciële scheepspieren.
DUMBO was ooit een druk centrum van scheepvaart en industrie met veel 19e-eeuwse pakhuizen. Het is vandaag herboren als een glamoureuze buurt die tegelijkertijd zowel glitzy als gruizig is.
We gaan terug naar Manhattan Bridge en bieden ons vogelperspectief op Noord-Brooklyn, Queens en de East River.
We keren terug naar de winkel via het East River Park en slingeren door delen van Chinatown en de historische South Street Seaport.

Had the pleasure of taking Scott’s Brooklyn Waterfront bike tour this past weekend. It was a great experience and Scott was a very knowledgeable guide.
The ride it self was not hard and Scott rode at our pace the history of Brooklyn and the bridge was very informative and Scott was great at it.
Had a great time! Loved seeing the beautiful views and the Brooklyn heights area! Scott was great!!

We had a wonderful experience on a personal guided tour across the Brooklyn Bridge in New York. Our guide, Scott, was a friendly and engaging person who shared many fascinating stories—not only about the bridge’s origins, but also about the DUMBO area and much more. He took his time to make the tour special, even helping us take photos together along the way, which we really appreciated. It felt relaxed, personal, and very informative. This is truly a great tour, and we would highly recommend it—definitely a five-star experience!

Excellent bike ride. Scott was very personable and knowledgeable. Highly recommend as a way to see Brooklyn. I would have never experienced the waterfront or neighborhoods if it was not for this trip. It makes me ant to come back and explore more of Brooklyn
Meeting point was easy to find and our tour guide Scott was waiting for us. The bikes were of good standard and an assistant made adjustments to ensure a comfortable ride height. Helmets were provided !. Scott introduced himself and explained tour route. As long as you posess a reasonable level of fitness, you will enjoy the tour , plenty of stops and opportunities to take photos. Scott provided lots of historical information about Brooklyn and showed many locations we were unaware of. Thoroughly enjoyed the tour and would highly recommend.
