Bratislava Foodie Tour is een geweldige ervaring en een kans om al het heerlijke Slowaakse / Bratislavische eten te proberen met een lokale fijnproever. Tijdens een 4 uur durende Bratislava Food Tour bezoeken we 4 of meer restaurants en serveren we je meer dan een volledige maaltijd - voorgerechten, soep, hoofdgerechten en tussendoortjes. Samen met eten worden ook interessante verhalen over eten en Slowaakse eettradities geserveerd. Alle alcoholische en niet-alcoholische dranken zijn inbegrepen.

They cancelled the night before because they did not have enough people. That left me no time to make alternate arrangements. Would give it zero stars if I could. Ended up walking around Bratislava.
Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry that we were unable to welcome you on the tour. As stated in our booking conditions, the minimum number of participants for this tour is two people. Since you were the only guest booked, we first contacted you three days before the tour to let you know that the minimum had not yet been reached and to see whether joining another tour date would be possible. Unfortunately, that alternative date did not work for you. We then contacted you again at 8:07 a.m. two days before the tour and explained that if no second participant joined, we would have to cancel the tour. When no additional bookings came in, we cancelled the tour at 6:00 p.m. on the day before the tour and immediately processed a full refund. We completely understand your disappointment. However, the cancellation was not unexpected, as we communicated the situation several times in advance and did our best to find an alternative solution before cancelling. We appreciate your understanding and wish you all the best in your future travels.
We had an enjoyable afternoon with our guide and the other family on our tour. Unfortunately the value just wasn’t there. At the restaurant we went for our “main courses” my husband and I did not taste the duck. It was gone when the plate got to us. There was no offer to order more. For dessert we went to a coffee shop that served pastry they purchase from a vendor. It was not baked on their premises. The next day we went to a bakery that offered similar menu of drinks and we had the same pastry that we saw them rolling, filling and baking. Seemed much more authentic. Our guide Jakub was young and nice. Perhaps a bit more training on portions would help.

We are sorry that the food portions at one of our stops did not meet your expectations. After reviewing the tour, we agree that more food should have been ordered at that particular stop. We take pride in offering generous portions that reflect traditional Slovak hospitality, and this is not the standard experience we aim to provide. We consider this an exceptional oversight and have since discussed it internally to help ensure that future groups receive the appropriate quantity of food. Regarding the pastry stop, our intention was not to demonstrate the baking process itself, but rather to introduce one of Bratislava's most traditional pastries. The Bratislava roll is a product with protected geographical status recognized by the European Union, and we are proud to include it on our tour. While the venue does not bake the pastries on-site, it serves authentic Bratislava rolls together with specialty coffee, which is why we chose it as part of the Bratislava Foodie Tour experience. Not so much different food and not enough to make us satisfied

Great experience. It was so nice to visit local eateries, learn about the food and much of the history of Bratislava. Best was the tour guide!

Great walking tour of Bratislava with lots of good local insights and different dishes to try. All the places we visited were lovely and the food was excellent. Our guide was lovely and very friendly.
Paula was a brilliant guide - knowledgeable, relaxed, fun, and easy to chat with. She took us to some great places we'd never have found ourselves, and introduced us to A LOT of local food. We had a fun afternoon and went away feeling very full. Would highly recommend.

Our foodie guide, Simon, was fantastic taking us around the Bratislava old town for an afternoon tour. The food stops were all excellent, food wise as well as the charming establishments themselves, and his knowledge about the country and the city was a true added value. We ate and learned so much we had to go back to the hotel for a nap! Thank you for a great afternoon and experience!
We visited Bratislava as part of a trip split between Bratislava and Vienna. We did not really know what to expected from Bratislava, however, the old town area is beautiful and we loved the Christmas market (it is perhaps more food-based than the German/Austrian markets). Bratislava seemed to be quite small and I reckon you would not want to spend more than a couple of days there from a city break viewpoint, however, I might have missed the point. Turning to the food tour itself, we were a very small group: two people had dropped out apparently at the last moment. The trip is highly recommended. I have always found with food tours that you get to see parts of where you are visiting that you would not otherwise and more importantly, you get to eat the local specialities. Our tour guide, a local lady who carries out the role I think as a side hustle was very interesting a gave insight to Slovakia, its geography, politics, infrastucture etc. as well as its food. The food was delicious. Perhaps the biggest food stop involved duck with red cabbage. I have been sceptical about duck (other than the Peking variety) for a number of years and was quite worried, however, it was really very good and I will try and replicate it. I really recommend this tour.
