Verken de culinaire hoogstandjes van Waiheke Island tijdens deze exclusieve premium gastronomische tour, samengesteld door lokale gastheren Joe en Jen. Begin uw reis met een proeverij van exquise lokale extra vergine olijfolie naast een op maat gemaakte proeverij in 'Waiheke pantry'-stijl, terwijl we deskundig worden begeleid door een premium wijnproeverij op het prachtige Jasper Ridge Estate. Vervolgens ervaren we handgemaakte gin of wodka bij Waiheke Distilling Co, terwijl we genieten van een van de mooiste uitzichten op Waiheke. Geniet van de award winnende wijnen bij Awaroa Winery of Te Motu Estate, omgeven door prachtige wijngaarden en uitzicht. Geniet van een heerlijke lunch in het gerenommeerde restaurant Three Seven Two, met verse, lokale gerechten en gratis drankjes. Deze intieme tour is beperkt tot elf gasten voor een persoonlijke ervaring.

Jasper Ridge Estate. Real beoordeling heeft hun rosé uit 2024 uitgeroepen tot de #1 rosé in Nieuw-Zeeland! Tussen hun prachtige wijnstokken wordt u vakkundig begeleid door hun wijnassortiment en stijlen van wereldklasse, en misschien zelfs enkele samengestelde gastwijnen indien beschikbaar!
Een korte rit brengt ons naar het prachtige Onetangi strand, de locatie van onze gehoste lunch - het prachtige Three Seven Two restaurant. We hebben er lang over nagedacht om onze ‘local’ met jullie te delen, maar hey, hoe konden we dat niet?!! Multi award winnend eten met een werkelijk glorieus uitzicht op het strand! We genieten van gedeelde broden & olijfolie, dan een hoofdgerecht naar keuze vergezeld van gratis wijn, bier, cider of frisdrank van hun uitgebreide menu. Oh en indien beschikbaar op de dag, waarom niet toevoegen aan een aantal wereldberoemde Te Matuku oesters?! Na de lunch kunnen we genieten van een wandeling over het gouden zand van Onetangi strand, het nemen van een aantal foto's en genieten van de wonderbaarlijke Zuid-Pacific zeelucht!
Waiheke Distilling Co. die beschikt over een aantal van de meest prachtige panoramische uitzichten op het eiland. In de setting van hun prachtige tuinbar & wolschuur proeven we handgemaakte boutique gin of botanische wodka geserveerd in smaakplankstijl met premium mixers, ijs en garnituren. Wij denken dat een uitstapje naar Waiheke Distilling Co. een waar juweeltje van het eiland is!
Als een lokale Waiheke echtpaar die een passie hebben voor de producten en locaties op het eiland, hebben we persoonlijk een vijf-stop tour samengesteld die het brede scala aan wereldklasse aanbod dat we hier voor onze deur hebben laat zien. Met Joe als uw gastheer & chauffeur, wordt u vervoerd over het eiland in het comfort van ons luxe voertuig met airconditioning en omdat we onze ervaring intiem en persoonlijk willen houden, zorgen we voor een maximum van elf gasten per tour. - Kia Ora! Waiheke Island is een klein eiland in de Golf van Hauraki en moet als zodanig worden bereikt met de veerboot vanuit het centrum van Auckland. Er zijn twee belangrijke veerbootmaatschappijen die het eiland bedienen : ISLAND DIRECT Island Direct is de keuze van de lokale bevolking en degene die wij u adviseren te gebruiken om uw terugreis te boeken. Wij adviseren u om direct uw ferry te boeken nu u uw WOW Tour bij ons heeft bevestigd. Gebruik dezelfde datum als uw WOW Tour boeking - boek de 9: 15am Auckland naar Waiheke en de 16: 15pm retour. U kunt Island Direct online boeken. Wij raden u ten zeerste aan uw ferry tickets vroeg en met Island Direct te boeken. Op deze manier bent u verzekerd van een zitplaats en hoeft u slechts tot 10 minuten voor de vertrektijd van de veerboot aanwezig te zijn op Pier 13 van Island Direct. Island Direct heeft ook een ticketautomaat naast Pier 13.
- FULLERS FERRY SERICE Mocht Island Direct niet beschikbaar zijn of u maakt liever gebruik van Fullers, dan kunt u online tickets boeken. Er zijn ook tal van ticketautomaten bij de Downtown Ferry Terminal. Om kennis te maken met onze tour adviseren wij u om op de 9 : 00am Fullers vertrek uit Auckland. Houd er rekening mee dat Fullers op basis van wie het eerst komt, het eerst maalt en dat het ten zeerste wordt aangeraden om ten minste 60 minuten voor vertrektijd aan te komen. In het hoogseizoen kunnen de wachtrijen voor Fullers erg lang zijn, dus gun jezelf voldoende tijd.

Had a fantastic time exploring the lesser explored east side of the island. Our host Joe was so knowledgeable and helpful, and was also so kind throughout the entire tour. All the places we visited had delicious drinks, great stories behind their wines and spirits, and we left each place with a purchase because we just could not help ourselves. Would highly recommend this experience, and we feel so lucky we picked this tour.

Wonderful personalised day with Joe. We were the only two people on the tour. The island was unexpectedly quiet after Easter weekend. Joe picked us up from our accommodation. We saw a part of the island we would not have accessed without a car and visited a couple of small wineries. The olive oil place was fun and the gin tasting was in a spectacular setting. Waiheke is already gorgeous, but Joe showed us hidden spots we’d never have found ourselves. From quiet beaches to little vineyards, the stories and history made it so much more than a normal tour. Really gave us a proper taste of the region and the real ‘wow’ moments

This tour was the highlight of our trip to New Zealand. The wineries, olive oil farm, and the gin/vodka establishment were superb. The view from the gin/vodka tasting was amazing. A small (in our case 4 people) tour showed us off the beaten path to places that Joe particularly enjoyed. Joe was kind enough to limit the tour to 4 people, as our friends son expressed his love of New Zealand and wanted to move there, but unfortunately has passed away, Therefore, this trip to New Zealand was a tribute to their son.

This was a magical experience. Everything was 5 stars from our host, Joe, to the vineyards and transportation. The forecast predicted some wind and rain, so we dressed accordingly. Although not a typical summer day, it was still perfect. Joe was a fantastic historian and most gracious host. Was nice to start with bread and olive oil before moving on to gin, vodka & wine. I never knew I liked gin & tonic, until I had it at Waiheke Diistilling Co. The only thing better than the gin, vodka, and food there was the breathtaking view. Jasper Ridge was our third spot. Our host there was generous and pleasant. The wine was some of the best we’ve ever had and it was nice to try the same wine from different seasons (rainy vs. dry). At lunch they had a table facing the ocean for us. I had the best onion rings of my entire life. Skip the crowded mega bus tours and treat yourself to this more intimate experience. You will NOT regret it. We wouldn’t hesitate to book again next time we are in the area. Perfection!

If you want to get a taste of local Waiheke olive oil AND wine AND gin this is the tour you need to take! I found Joe to be an amazing guide - he's friendly and professional, and most importantly he has local knowledge of Waiheke Island as someone who lives there himself. The tour he provides gets you away from the crowds, and as well as the amazing variety of tastings he organises, you get to see some breathtaking views, and enjoy some great cuisine in a beautiful location.
