Wandel door Heritage Garden, geniet van het theehuis met zijn panoramische uitzichten en het merengebied, dat een natuurlijke habitat vormt voor de Cayman Blue Iguana en broedplaats voor een verscheidenheid aan zeldzame watervogels en inheemse dieren in het Caribisch gebied. Toen Her Royal Majesty Queen Elizabeth II in 1994 Grand Cayman's Botanic Park opende, was alleen de Woodland Trail voltooid. Ontdek het unieke erfgoed en de cultuur van Cayman via dit liefdevol gerestaureerde raam naar de 18e eeuw, op slechts 20 minuten rijden van George Town. In een tijd op de Kaaimaneilanden, toen de meeste mensen in kleine met riet bedekte huizen woonden, creëerde een rijke Engelsman, met behulp van slavenarbeid uit Jamaica, een verbluffend gebouw met 3 verdiepingen genaamd Pedro St. James. In de jaren negentig kocht de regering van de Kaaimaneilanden Pedro St. James en zorgvuldig gerestaureerd het Grote Huis aan de pracht van het 18e-eeuwse erfgoed. Tegenwoordig kunnen bezoekers een wandeling maken door het imposante gebouw met zijn antieke meubels en authentieke artefacten om te ervaren hoe het leven was in de geschiedenis van Cayman.

George Town heeft drie scheepsterminals: 1. Koninklijke Watler terminal 2. North Terminal 3. South Terminal Houd er rekening mee dat cruiseschepen die voor anker gaan in Grand Cayman vereisen dat gasten een kleine boot nemen, bekend als een tender, om de kust te bereiken. Het is belangrijk om vroeg in de rij te staan voor tenders, omdat het tot 60 minuten kan duren om van boord te gaan en de kust te bereiken. Als uw schip aanlegt bij Royal Watler Terminal : Uw tour vertrekt vanuit de Royal Watler Cruise Terminal. Bij het uitstappen dient u door de beveiliging te gaan en rechtdoor te lopen langs de waterkant. Ga naar de laatste tent met een witte luifel en zoek naar het CAYTOURS bord. De lokale vertegenwoordiger zal daar wachten om u in te checken. Als uw schip aanmeert bij de North Terminal of South Terminal : Uw tour vertrekt vanuit de Royal Watler Cruise Terminal, die ongeveer 3 tot 5 minuten lopen van de tender pier ligt. Vraag bij het uitstappen de havenbeveiliging naar de routebeschrijving naar de Royal Watler Terminal. Daar aangekomen verlaat u de beveiliging en loopt u rechtdoor langs de waterkant. Ga naar de laatste tent met een witte luifel en zoek naar het CAYTOURS bord. De lokale vertegenwoordiger wacht daar. In geval van slecht weer, en uw schip vaart aan bij Spotts Dock : Uw tour vertrekt direct vanaf Spotts Dock. Blijf bij het uitstappen bij Spotts Dock en zoek naar de lokale vertegenwoordiger met een CAYTOURS-bord voor eenvoudige identificatie. Om een vlot vertrek te garanderen, dient u minstens 15 minuten voor de geplande vertrektijd van de tour op de aangewezen vergaderlocatie aanwezig te zijn. Logeren in een hotel of Airbnb? We halen op bij alle hotels en accommodaties op Seven Mile Beach. Zorg ervoor dat u ons van tevoren op de hoogte stelt van uw locatie, zodat we goede afspraken kunnen maken en een tijdige ophaling kunnen garanderen.

Perfect for a warm overcast day. These gardens are very well done and beautiful. Whether you are a big plant lover or not, you will appreciate the beauty and variety of what is displayed here. And the blue iguanas are just a plus.

The tour group was very accommodating when the ship's tender arrived at a different port... they met us there. We had to wait an hour for other people, who never showed up. We didn't have enough time at the botanical gardens. The Pedro St James tour was fabulous and our guide was excellent.

We enjoyed the tour immensely. Our guide, Victor shared so much about Cayman. We all appreciated learning about the island, its history. The historian at St. James Castle is a treasure! He has so much to share - I would love to have him to dinner and keep talking! Queen Elizabeth Garden is gorgeous. The traditional house and the Colorful Trail were a highlight. We saw iguanas, parrots, a snake, and many other local birds while walking around. It is very hot - so be prepared. If I were able to do this again, I would pack a light lunch and have it in the gazebo. Overall - the tour was great. We did not feel rushed and were able to enjoy it.

The Botanic Park has beautiful gardens. We also got to see many rare and endangered blue iguanas. Pedro St James was an interesting historic sight. We learned about some of the history and culture of Grand Cayman on this excursion.

I was worried I wouldn't be able to walk around much because of a recent knee replacement but they totally took care of me. Hall drove us around in a golf cart so I could see everything & made stops along the way so I could get out & see the beautiful flowers up close. We loved our tour.

An interesting way to learn more about Grand Cayman. Very much enjoyed the botanical gardens. I wished we'd had more time there. It was a long ride from our hotel and so we had only an hour to tour the gardens before having to leave for the tour of Pedro St. James Castle. We learned a lot about the history of the island watching the intro film there. Tour of the house/castle brief and oddly focused on the furniture.

This was a very lovely tour. We were most fortunate to have Trisha as our tour guide. She was truly a Pedro St. James Castle historian. so animated and excited to give us so much information about the tour we almost lost track of time. I truly recommend this tour and ask for Trisha. She was amazing.

The Botanical Park is wonderful. Many flowers. Laid out nicely. Not hard to walk through. The gift shop is very nice also. Pedro St. James was a nice historical stop to give you an idea of the history of Grand Cayman. Highly recommend.
