Zoals de titel al suggereert, zal Boston’s “Politically Incorrect” Food Tour niet je typische food tour zijn. Met zijn no BS stijl, zal uw reis Gids Anthony u een kijkje in deze Italiaanse wijk geven. Geboren en getogen in de North End zal hij een aantal geweldige verhalen die alleen een echte local kan delen delen delen. U zult lachen terwijl u geniet van de folklore en geschiedenis van deze unieke wijk. Anthony kent iedereen waardoor je je als een local voelt. Tijdens deze 3 uur durende begeleide wandeltocht zie je historische bezienswaardigheden zoals de Old North Church en Paul Revere House, bezoek je unieke mama- en popwinkels, waaronder een 94 jaar oude koffieshop, een pizzashop waar alleen de lokale bevolking naartoe gaat, andere bezienswaardigheden zoals het voormalige maffiahoofdkwartier, Italiaanse bakkerijen en verborgen steegjes. Boston's "North End" aka "Little Italy" is een zakformaat Italiaanse wijk vol geschiedenis en charme. Tussen de smalle straatjes, verborgen steegjes en parkbanken vind je The Paul Revere House, Copp’s Hill en The Old North Church. In de volgende stap sta je naast het hoofdkantoor van de georganiseerde misdaad in Boston. Het absorberen van de geschiedenis en folklore van de North End kan niet goed worden gedaan zonder het te koppelen aan de culinaire voering van de buurt. Als thuisbasis van meer dan tachtig restaurants en talloze wijnwinkels, bakkerijen en Italiaanse salumeria’s (ook wel Italiaanse delicatessenwinkels genoemd) is het veilig om te zeggen dat je geen honger zult hebben! Tijdens deze 3 uur durende begeleide wandeltocht bezoeken we historische bezienswaardigheden, verborgen juweeltjes, unieke buurtwinkels, lokale hangplekken en proeven we van het heerlijkste Italiaanse eten waar dan ook! We were in town for a concert, and my wife booked this tour. We are both foodies (per say) and love a good laugh. This was the tour for us. Flash is an absolute legend. As someone from the south side of Chicago, I loved Flash's style. I have told my friends, family and coworkers about this tour. I recommended it to them, and I recommend it to you! If I'm ever back in Boston, I would do this tour again.
The food was great, info was interesting, and Anthony was amazing! Highly recommend!

Presented by Dan - I wasn’t sure what to expect going into the tour other than that it’d probably be interesting based solely on the title. However, the title doesn’t do the tour justice; it is a veritable treasure trove of info you be hard-pressed to find on your own. The care Flash takes in crafting the history of the North End into an entertaining account of a Boston long gone is only matched by the care that goes into each dish sampled along the way. If only I could transcribe what this man has to say, I’d have a bestseller on my hands. Book this trip as soon as you find an opening; at the very least, your stomach won’t regret it…

Really enjoyed this walking food tour. Anthony was funny, had great stories and made sure we were fed well. Don’t let the title turn you away. Nothing more than a few “F” bombs. So if you have virgin ears or are offended by that word, probably best you stay home.

The title is accurate but this was one of the most fun tours I’ve ever done. Slash is authentic and the food is amazing. I highly recommend this tour for adults!

Guide (Tony) a little brash and outspoken, are F bombs really that important? He was pretty rude to the couple that had a baby with them and wouldn’t let them go. We stood for long periods of time which was hard for most of us to do, we were even supposed to enjoy our deli sandwich while standing in an alley!
I think you mean the customers with the baby were rude for ignoring “adults only” and assuming that the rules don’t apply to them. Yes, F bombs are important for people on a walking tour complaining about walking and standing. Over 30 people in group. Guide had no microphone. He grew up in the area, what was giving good insider Still, I would not do recommend this tour.
So you liked that I grew up here and was giving good insider info but you gave the tour 1 star because you didn’t like the size of the group? Really?
Best ever tour guide! Loved his knowledge as a local who was born and raised in this historical area! Kept us laughing, stuffed full of food and enthralled in all the “facts” he gave us! Probably the best tour ever!! He swears, he smokes, he is politically incorrect and he is awesome! Missed his calling as a stand up comedian!!
